Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of Broken Chains devote their lives to the destruction of their mortal limits, breaking through the constraints our bodies place on us.

First Chain

As a bonus action, you can break through the First Chain of Fatigue. You instantly gain a level of exhaustion. For one minute, all effects of the exhaustion condition against you are suspended. When this effect ends, you can extend it by another minute and gain another level of exhaustion.

Second Chain

While you are affected by the First Chain ability, you can break through the Second Chain of Pain. Until the effects of the First Chain end, any effects of the paralyzed, poisoned, stunned, and unconscious conditions against you are suspended, and you do not know the result of damage rolls against you (the DM tracks your hit points).

Third Chain

While you are affected by the Second Chain ability, you can break through the Third Chain of Thought. Until the effects of the First Chain end, you are immune to psychic damage, the charmed and frightened conditions, and the effects of illusion magic.

Final Chain

While you are affected by the Third Chain ability, you can break through the Final Chain of Mortality. Until the effects of the First Chain end, you cannot take damage, and you have unlimited ki points. When the effects of the First Chain end, you immediately lose all your current ki points, drop to 0 hit points, become unstable, and must start rolling death saves on your next turn.
