Base Class: Paladin
Oath of Spite
A paladin who takes an oath of spite is an individual who has refused to let go. Through either the fickleness of the Gods or an event beyond the paladin's control, a paladin may lose the powers granted to them through their Oath. They did not break the Oath nor did they have any intention of forsaking it, but nonetheless the universe has seen fit to strip them of the radiant abilities they became so reliant on.
Yet, there is still hope for these individuals. If a paladin who has been stripped of their powers can demonstrate a show of pure willpower, they may be able to tear forth a spark of their power that can give way to a wild fire of potential. These Paladins then must take an Oath to use this burning potential in spite of the circumstances, whatever they may be.
A Oath of Spite paladin must be at least 3rd level and have had lost their powers due to a reason beyond their control. The paladin replaces features specific to his or her Sacred Oath with the Oath of Spite features.
