New Order

Rangers of the New Order are versed in the chaos of the world. They are scholars as much as they are fighters. Researchers of the field and Scribes of the hunt. Rangers of the new order excel at tracking and reading the movements of the world around them. Proprioceptive and adaptive. Some use their knowledge on the battlefield as tacticians, others employ their skills as studious bodyguards within various academies.

Studious Skill

At 3rd level, you gain one of the following features of your choice.

Coordinated Assault

Once per turn, when you make an attack against a creature, you can expend your reaction to allow an ally within 30ft to make one attack against the same creature.

Peerless Proprioception

You can spend 10 minutes studying an area that encompases up to a 300ft cube centered on a point. While inside an area you have studied, you are unable to be surprised and have advantage on all Perception, Nature, and Survival checks within the area. You are able to recall the minutiae of a number of areas in this way equal to your proficiency modifier. If you attempt to study more areas than you can memorize, the oldest areas of study fade from your mind first.

Weak Point

Once per Long Rest when you hit with an attack you can deal max damage instead of rolling damage die.

Avant Garden

As a bonus action, you expand your senses and perceive the minutiae of the world in a sphere around you. Using your enhanced perception you are able to to better react to external stimuli and even give forewarning or guidance to allies. The sphere is centered on you and has a 30-foot radius. The sphere moves with you, and it lasts for 1 minute or until you are incapacitated or die. Whenever a creature (including you) uses movement or makes and attack inside the sphere, you may use one of the following effects as a reaction:

• You give the attacking creature Advantage or Disadvantage on the attack(s).
• You may use the Search action.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Multiattack

At 11th level, you gain one of the following features of your choice.

Scattershot

You can use your action to expend a piece of ammunition to make a ranged attack aimed at an area centered on a point you can see within your weapon’s range or against any creature within range whose location you know due to a spell/ability. The shot explodes in a 10ft radius sphere and any creatures caught in the blast must make a Dexterity saving throw. The creature takes half damage from your attack on a successful save.

Sweeping Attack

You can use your action to make a melee attack against any number of creatures within reach of your weapon. Any creatures caught in the attack must make a Dexterity saving throw. The creature takes no damage from your attack on a successful save.

Selective Studies

At 15th level, you gain one of the following features of your choice and can choose to swap out this feature once each time you level up.

Arcane Research - Garden

While within the area of Avant Garden you and your allies have advantage against all magical effects and have advantage on concentration checks.

Critical Research - Garden

When you are under the effects of Avant Garden your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 18, 19, or 20.

Evasive Research - Garden

While under the effects of Avant Garden your movement speed increases by 20ft.Additionally whenever you make a saving throw to reduce damage to half, you take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw.

Perceptive Research - Garden

While under the effects of Avant Garden you gain the following benefits: 

• You know the type(s) of all creatures within range of the Avant Garden (this does not reveal the true form of shapechangers but it does reveal that they are a shapechanger)
• Creatures do not benefit from Invisibility or being obscured

Striking Research - Garden

While under the effect of Avant Garden you can add your Proficiency modifier to the damage roll of each attack you make.
