Base Class: Rogue
As a Void Runner you could be an unpinnable assassin or an elusive thief, who flickers in and out of reality. Void Runners specialize in strategic combat, delivering deadly blows while mantaining distance from the enemy. Your job is to disrupt enemie's strategies and finish battles before they even begin. Unpredictable, unstoppable and cunning, no one can escape you quarry, and those who stand and fight become greatly overwhelmed by your witts.
Flicker
At 3rd level you can use your Cunning Action to Teleport up to half your movement speed in any direction. The space you appear in must be visible to you, and cannot be occupied by any obstacles. At 13th level, you can teleport up to your full movement speed in any direction when you use this ability.
Void Mark
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the poisoner's kit. You can place a purple Void Mark on any solid surface. That mark lasts for an hour and only one mark may be active at a time. You can use your action to teleport back to your mark as long as you are on the same plane of existance. The mark is consumed by your teleportation. You can place as many Void Marks as your Intelligence Modifier. All Void Marks regenerate after a Long Rest.
Dark Gift
Being touched by the Void has cursed you with a terrible and ever present hunger for life and energy. A Void Runner with this gift gains the Drain Life ability, which is a magical attack that uses Charisma for its attack and damage rolls, dealing 1d6 necrotic damage and restores the same number of hit points to the Void Runner. After being healed by this attack, the Void's hunger becomes sated, and this attack can't be used again until you finish a long rest. However, if the Void Runner goes for 7 days without dealing this damage, their hit point maximum is reduced by 1d6 per week. This reduction can’t be removed until the Void Runner has used their Drain Life ability and completed a long rest.
Shadow Walk
Starting at 9th level, when in an area of dim light or darkness, you can use your action to become a creature of fluid shadow. While transformed, you have advantage on stealth checks, do not make any noise when moving, and count as tiny for the purposes of passing through spaces. You return to normal if you attack or take any action that affects a creature besides yourself, or if you end your turn outside of an area of dim light or darkness. If you are in a space you cannot normally fit in when you revert, you are shunted to the nearest available space, and take necrotic damage equal to twice the number of feet you are moved.
Umbra Veil
By 13th level, you have learned to become one with the shadows. When you are in an area of dim light or darkness, you can use your action to become invisible. You remain invisible until you make an attack, cast a spell, or are in an area of bright light.
Shadow Assault
At 17th level, you can become a bewilderingly fast spectre, striking down multiple opponents in the blink of an eye. On your own turn, you can make more than one sneak attack, provided each sneak attack you make hits a new opponent. In addition, when you hit a target with a sneak attack, you can as part of the same action instantly blink up to your movement speed and make an attack against another target within range. You can use this ability up to 3 times in one turn, but cannot choose the same attack target more than once in a turn.
