Base Class: Wizard
A blade glints in the night as a Tiefling weaves illusion spells to supplement their swordplay. A High Elf holds firm against a tide of raging monstrosities, his blade flashing in time with spell work to devastate his foes. A young human woman spends a long day of training in the way of the sword only to spend her evenings studying magic by candle light. Regardless of their origins these Arcane Warriors have, through rigorous study of both spell and blade, learned to blend these two arts together to form something both old and new. Perhaps you are a student of the ancient ways of elven arcane warriors, perhaps you've walked down this path out of interest. Regardless, you are now an Arcane Warrior. A master of both sword and spell. Like those that came before you, something has drawn you towards this mixed line of study.

Swordbond
By spending 1 hour of meditation with a chosen melee weapon, you forge a special bond with the weapon. If you forge a bond with a different blade, the old bond dissipates. If your bonded weapon is broken or damaged, you can spend 1 hour of meditation to repair or recreate the weapon from a fragment. All other fragments lose any unique or magical properties they may have once had. The bonded weapon can only be repaired up to the condition it was in when you bonded to it.
As a bonus action, you can call your bonded weapon to your hand from up to 60 feet away.
You can also use your bonded weapon as a spell focus for your Wizard spells.
Training in Blade and Magic
2nd-level feature
You gain proficiency with light armor, and you gain proficiency with one type of one-handed melee weapon of your choice.
You also gain proficiency in the Arcana skill if you don’t already have it. Additionally you can use your {{modifier:int@min:1}} for attack rolls and damage.
Battle Trance
2nd-level Arcane Warrior feature
You can invoke an elven magic prevalent to Arcane Warriors known as the Battle Trance, provided that you aren’t wearing medium or heavy armor or using a shield. It graces you with supernatural speed, agility, and focus.
You can use a bonus action to start the battle trance, which lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are incapacitated, if you don medium or heavy armor or a shield, or if you use two hands to make an attack with a weapon. You can also dismiss the Battle Trance at any time (no action required).
While your Battle Trance is active, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a bonus to your AC equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1).
- Your walking speed increases by 10 feet.
- You have advantage on Dexterity (Acrobatics) checks.
- You gain a bonus to any Constitution saving throw you make to maintain your concentration on a spell. The bonus equals your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1).
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
Extra Attack
6th-level Bladesinging feature
You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. Moreover, you can cast one of your cantrips in place of one of those attacks.
Warrior's Warding
At 2nd level, your connection to blade magic gives you extra fortitude. Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class.
You also can gain a base AC of 13 + your Constitution modifier if you aren’t wearing armor.
Warding Style: You gain an additional 2 AC if you are wielding only a single one handed melee weapon. This benefit counts as using a shield and will not stack with things like bracers of defense. (You can benefit from only one shield at a time.)
The following are options to choose based upon whether or not you are going to use a shield. If you are not benefiting from a shield, choose Warding Style. If you are benefiting from a shield (like using a shield, +1), choose No Style.
No Style
You are not using Warding Style.

Arcane Aegis
Starting at 6th level, your command of blade and magic grows stronger, allowing you to harness it for your allies’ protection.
Shielding Aegis: As a bonus action, you can grant an aegis to one allied creature you can see within 60 feet of you. The aegis is a dim, gray aura of arcane energy that protects the target. Any bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage the target takes is reduced by an amount equal to your proficiency bonus. This effect lasts for 1 minute or until you use it again. The number of allies protected by this ability increases to 2 at 11th level and 3 at 17th level.
Assaulting Aegis: As a reaction when a creature you can see within 60 feet of you hits a target protected by your Shielding Aegis with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within 5 feet of the attacker. You can then make one melee weapon attack against the attacker. If that attack hits, it deals an extra 1d10 force damage. This extra damage increases to 2d10 at 11th level and 3d10 at 17th level.
Arcane Defenses
10th-level Arcane Warrior feature
You can direct your magic to absorb damage while your Aegis is active. When you take damage, you can use your reaction to expend one spell slot and reduce that damage to you by an amount equal to five times the spell slot’s level.
Infused Bladework
14th-level Arcane Warrior feature
Starting at 14th level, your mastery of blade magic allows you to add extra arcane force to your spells. When you cast a spell that deals damage, choose one creature damaged by that spell on the round you cast it. That creature takes extra force damage equal to half your Wizard level. This feature can be used only once per casting of a spell.
