Bard
Base Class: Bard

Skalds are poets, historians, and keepers of lore who use their gifts for oration and song to inspire allies into a frenzied rage. They balance a violent spirit with the veneer of civilization, recording events such as heroic battles and the deeds of great leaders, enhancing these stories in the retelling to earn bloodier victories in combat. A skald’s poetry is nuanced and often has multiple overlapping meanings, and he applies similar talents to emulate magic from other spellcasters.

Intimidating defense

At 3rd level, your intimidating presence causes your apponents to attack you with more hesitation. You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill and you can add your Charisma modifier to your AC if you are not wearing medium or heavy armor.

War cry

At 3rd level, you learn to inspire your allies to feats of strength and ferocity.

As a bonus action you can expend a use of your bardic inspiration to bellow a war cry and provoke an ally to enter a rage. Make an intimidation check. For the next minute one ally that can hear you gains a bonus to their damage rolls equal to your bardic inspiration die and temporary hit points equal to half the result of your intimidation check (minimum 1).

Extra Attack

Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Bolstering Ally

Whenever an ally inspired by your war cry hits with an attack roll, you gain temporary hit points equal to a roll of your bardic inspiration die.

Frightening Cry

Starting at 14th level, your War Cry is so ferocious it strikes fear into the hearts of your enemies. All enemies that can hear your cry must make a Wisdom Saving Throw or become frightened of you and the person you inspire for one round.
