Base Class: Bard
Those belonging to the college of flair thrive in the spotlight and spin in flurries of dance and beauty. Bards of this college focus on dance and over the top flourishes, and they incorporate into this dance a deadly spin of attacks and weaponry. When in performances, their dances are captivating and difficult to look away from, and these dances are also what makes them so deadly into a fight, incorporating dance into their strikes and spells.
most bards of the college of flair hog the spotlight and force all to look upon them, as to them they are the center of the world and their dances reflect that.
Art of the Dance
When you join this college at level 3, you gain proficiency in the Athletics and Acrobatics skill if not previously proficient. If you are proficient in one or both of these skills already, you can replace the proficiency with a different skill or tool proficiency of your choice.
Deadly distraction
Additionally at 3rd level, you are able to redirect attacks and confuse your opponents using your martial dance. When a creature attacks you with an attack, you can expend a bardic inspiration dice as a reaction to attempt to redirect an attack. Roll the inspiration die + your proficiency bonus + dexterity modifier and subtract the damage from the roll. If the damage is from a melee weapon attack and the damage is reduced by half or more, you can redirect the attack to the attacker. The creature then takes damage of the weapons type equal to the roll you made.
Redirecting an attack still makes you take damage unless the damage dealt is reduced to 0.
Dancing flurry
At 6th level, you can enter a flurry of attacks all around you by spinning in a violent dance of pain. As an action, you begin to dance, hiding your attacks within the dance, you make an attack roll against all creatures within 5 feet of you, though you only roll once and the roll applies to all creatures within range, with the one roll going against each of the creatures ACs. If the attack hits, it does extra damage equal to your dexterity modifier + half your level in bard.
You can use this feature times equal to your proficiency bonus, and all expended uses are regained at the end of a short or long rest.
Hypnotic Sway
At 14th level, you are able to dance in a way that confuses and beguiles your enemies. As an action, you can expend a bardic inspiration die, you then a number of creatures equal to your Charisma modifier(minimum of 1) that can see you within 60 feet make a wisdom saving throw against your spell save dc. If the creature fails they are charmed for a minute, while charmed in this way they are forced to look at you, their movement speed is halved, and they subtract your bardic inspiration die from all attack rolls and damage against creatures that aren’t you. If the creature succeeds they avoid the charm entirely. A creature can attempt to end the charm at the end of each of their turns by repeating the saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
You can use this feature once, regaining the ability to do so at the end of a long rest.
