Kick 'Em While They're Down

You fight dirty - real dirty. You never learned how to fight properly, and you never saw the value of fighting fairly anyway. Honor can't help you if you're crumpled on the ground getting your face bashed in, so you might as well be the one doing the face-bashing. In the streets, only the strongest survive, and you aren't looking to die anytime soon.

A Thug specialises in using brute strength and shrewd cunning to terrorize opponents into submission. No tactic is too dirty for a Thug to consider - in fact, the dirtier the trick, the better.

Bludgeoning Expert

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with flails, mauls, warhammers, and medium armor.

In addition, you learn how to get the most out of the dullest weapons. You can make a melee attack with a bludgeoning weapon instead of using a finesse or ranged weapon for your Sneak Attack feature.

Bully

Starting at 3rd level, you gain a penchant for fighting dirty. You can use the bonus action granted by your Cunning Action to grapple a creature.

You also gain an additional way to use your Sneak Attack; you don't need advantage on the attack roll to use your Sneak Attack against a creature that is grappled if you don't have disadvantage on the attack roll. All the other rules of Sneak Attack still apply to you.

At 9th level, you can use the bonus action granted by your Cunning Action to shove a creature.

Air of Menace

At 9th level, you can instill fear into the minds of your enemies to make them panic. As an action, you can make a Charisma (Intimidation) check against a creature that is grappled, prone, or restrained, contested by its Wisdom (Insight) check. The creature must be able to see or hear you, and the two of you must share a language if it can't see you.

If you succeed, the creature becomes frightened; it has disadvantage on ability checks even while you are not within line of sight. This effect lasts for 1 minute or until the target is no longer grappled, prone, or restrained.

Experienced Mobster

At 13th level, you become the monster that others fear. You can't be frightened.

Coup de Grâce

At 17th level, you can finish off your victims while they are most vulnerable. When you hit a creature that is prone with a melee weapon attack, you can choose to score a critical hit instead. Once you do so, you can't use this feature again until you finish a long or short rest.
