Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians often walk the line between life and death while in battle, however few obtain the ability to master it. There are some who have the innate ability to see the threads of life connected to a person’s soul. Barbarians that follow this path learn to manipulate those threads, weaving them together or severing their connection completely.

Soul Thread Manipulation

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, when you enter your rage you gain the ability to see the threads of life attached to the soul of yourself and others. While you’re raging, as a bonus action you can recover hp equal to your constitution modifier + your barbarian level to yourself or other creature you touch.

Soul Weaving

Starting at 6th level, you gain the ability to weave the threads of life attached to your soul with others. While you’re raging, any creature that deals damage to you or receives damage by you has their soul’s threads woven with yours and are considered to be (Linked). The number of creatures you can be linked to at one time is equal to 2x your proficiency modifier. Any time you receive damage that you are resistant to, creatures linked to you take the same amount of damage as necrotic damage. The effect ends when your rage ends.

Shared Suffering

Starting at 10th level, Your ability to manipulate the soul now extends to your weapon. You learn a ritual that creates a magical bond between yourself and one weapon with the light property. You perform the ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. The weapon must be within your reach throughout the ritual, at the conclusion of which it becomes your soul weapon. Once you have bonded a weapon to yourself, any attacks you make against yourself with your soul weapon are critical strikes.

Soul Conversion

Starting at 14th level, You now have the ability to manipulate and control weakened souls and the threads that connect them to life. Whenever you kill a creature with damage done by your Soul Weaving ability, you can use your reaction to prevent the threads of life attached to its soul from being severed. If you do, its hp is instead reduced to 1 and is under your control. The creature will take its action immediately after yours then die.
