Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Unseeing Eye is a cult-like religious order that follows what they believe to be an all-seeing god, The Allknowing One.

Rayne Abeni (rain aa-beanie), the founder of the faith, began having nightly dreams where a voice (which would later became recognized as the voice of The Allknowing One) called to them and whispered the 'hidden truths' of the world in their ear. The Allknowing One claimed to want to help its followers reach 'perfection' by granting them a form of true sight, but that the only way it could fully impart its wisdom upon its followers, was if they were no longer being poisoned by the false-sight granted to them through their natural-born eyes. In lieu of following their patron's wishes, the founding members of the cult all gouged out their own eyes and gave the remains as offerings to their god, abandoning their mortal sight in exchange for the true sight offered to them by their patron. This "true sight" later became known as All Sight within the cult.

While still relatively unheard-of, the cult has grown to have a dedicated following in the years since its founding. Now, rather than having new members gouge out their eyes and sacrifice them, they instead hold an Unveiling Ceremony once a year in which children of the age of six, and any new-comers to the cult, are lead to the High Temple where the head priest or priestess will poor a brew into their eyes that removes their sight and turns their eyes completely white. The process is relatively painless, with the subject only feeling a slight burn. Afterwards, the young, newly-devoted will be trained to harness All Sight. Children under the age of 6 wear blindfolds to limit their exposure to the poison of false-sight, though most continue to wear blindfolds long into their adult lives.

Blind Sight

Starting at 3rd level, you trade your natural sight for blindsight. Within a range of 30 feet, you can effectively see the general outline of anything and creatures do not gain benefits from cover. You are immune to the blinded condition and unaffected by darkness. Moreover, you can see invisible creatures within that range. When seeing in this way, you are unable to make out anything more than a general aura around an object or creature, allowing you to see the general shape, but unable to make out details.

You are immune to any effects that rely on sight, such as hypnotic pattern.

You also automatically fail any ability check that requires detailed sight, such as reading a passage or seeing colors.

Shared Knowledge

Your connection with The Allknowing One has granted you access to knowledge you ordinarily would find out of reach as it whispers to you the answers you seek. You gain proficiency with two of the following skills of your choice: InsightArcanaHistory, or Religion

You gain an additional skill proficiency from the above list (or you can double the bonus of an existing proficiency from the list) at 11th and 17th level.

Mindful Meditation

Beginning at 6th level, you can enter a special meditation that allows your mind to more deeply connect with The Alllknowing One and the world around you. If you have remained in this meditative state for at least a half hour, you gain the effects of one of the following spells of your choice (without a need for component materials):

Arcane Eye. While you are meditating, you create an invisible, magical eye within 30 feet that hovers in the air for the next hour. You mentally receive visual information from the eye, which has normal vision and darkvision out to 30 feet. The eye can look in every direction. As an action, you can move the eye up to 30 feet in any direction. There is no limit to how far away from you the eye can move, but it can't enter another plane of existence. A solid barrier blocks the eye's movement, but the eye can pass through an opening as small as 1 inch in diameter.

Borrowed Knowledge. You draw on knowledge from spirits of the past. Choose one skill in which you lack proficiency. For the next hour after your meditation ends, you have proficiency in the chosen skill.

Identify. You choose up to three objects that you must touch throughout your meditation. If it is a magic item or some other magic-imbued object, you learn their properties and how to use them, whether they require attunement to use, and how many charges they have, if any. You learn whether any spells are affecting the items and what they are. If an item was created by a spell, you learn which spell created it. If you instead touch a creature (or creatures) throughout the casting, you learn what spells, if any, are currently affecting them.

Tongues. For the next hour after your meditation ends, you gain the ability to understand any spoken language you hear. Moreover, when you speak, any creature that knows at least one language and can hear you, understands what you say.

You must finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.

Allknowing Questions

By 11th level, you're connection to The Allknowing One has strengthened to the point where you can call upon it directly to answer a question.

Imploring The Allknowing One's aid requires you to use your action. Ask the question you seek the answer to, and roll percentile dice. If you roll a number equal to or lower than your monk level, the Allknowing One gives a truthful answer, without trying to deceive the questioner to the best of its abilities, but if the roll fails the Allknowing One can chose to remain silent or attempt to deceive the questioner, to the DM's discretion. On a successful attempt, it is up to the DM to decide whether the Allknowing One would know the answer to the questioner. If not, the Allknowing One would do its best to point the questioner in the correct direction to find the answer.

If the question is answered honestly, you can’t use this feature again for 7 days. Otherwise, you can use it again after you finish a long rest.

At 20th level, your question is automatically answered truthfully, no roll required.

Improved Blindsight

Starting at 17th level, your blindsight now extends 60 feet.

Shared Sight

Also at 17th level, if you meditate with another creature while maintaining physical contact for at least 10 minutes, you grant them the abilities given by the Foresight spell. For the next 8 hours, the target can't be surprised and has advantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. Additionally, other creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls against the target for the duration. This feature can be used once per long rest.
