Base Class: Rogue
Nothing compares to the excitement you feel seeing your prey perfectly centered in the crosshairs of your sights. Whatever the job entails or how much it pays, the true reward you feel is the thrill of the hunt. The Bounty Hunter is a skilled marksman and a supreme tracker, able to locate targets through word of mouth or written contract and endeavors to bring in their prey dead or alive.
Thrill of the Hunt
Beginning at 3rd level, the Bounty Hunter is able to mark a specific target they have heard about or seen. The Bounty Hunter cannot mark another target unless the current target is either unmarked or dies. For as long as the target is marked, the Bounty Hunter has advantage on all Perception, Insight, Investigation, and History checks regarding the target.
Vantage Point
The Bounty Hunter always seeks to have the best vantage point on the battlefield. Beginning at level 3, any attack the Bounty Hunter makes while they are on terrain that is higher than their opponent has advantage.
Favored Position
Beginning at level 3, the Bounty Hunter may impose disadvantage on their combat initiative roll in order to gain double movement speed on the start of their first turn.
Take Aim
Beginning at level 9, the Bounty Hunter has learned to master their breathing in order to control their shots. As a bonus action, you can steady your aim against a single target. Your movement becomes 0 until the end of your turn and you may only attack a single target, but all attacks are made with advantage.
Bullseye
Everyone has a soft spot and the Bounty Hunter has learned to exploit it to their advantage. Beginning at level 9, the Bounty Hunter has learned to quickly identify weaknesses in an opponent’s armor or defense. As a bonus action, you may target a precise spot on an opponent. Doing so reduces your movement speed to 0 until the end of your turn and all your attacks are made against a single target. Any attack that hits deals an additional 2d10 piercing damage. Attacks made against a marked target deal 3d10 damage instead. This ability may be used twice per short rest.
Draw
Beginning at level 9, the Bounty Hunter may gain advantage on their combat initiative roll, but their speed is reduced to 0 until the end of their first turn.
Dead or Alive
You are not without a sense of mercy, but that mercy is fleeting. Beginning at level 13, you may use an action to gain advantage on a Persuasion roll against a marked target. If the target is not persuaded, your next attack against the target automatically applies sneak attack damage. This damage does not count as the normal sneak attack for the turn. Once this ability is used on a marked target, it may not be used again against that target.
One Shot, One Kill
Beginning at level 17, the Bounty Hunter can attempt to neutralize a target. When this ability is used, only one attack is taken for your turn. If the attack hits, it deals maximum dice damage.
