Monk
Base Class: Monk

The body of any living being is accompanied by limitations. For one to fight they must first process their actions and think with their brain. Doing this limits their speed and will hamper their ability to fight effectively. Monks of the Way of the Subconscious aim to separate their consciousness from their actions, ultimately becoming able to fight purely off of reaction. Only monks of high level can accomplish this dream, but even the weakest of this monastery can use their abilities well.

Instinctive Technique

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain the ability to instinctively strike back when your foes attempt to attack you. As a reaction, when a creature misses you with an attack roll, you may make an Unarmed Strike against that same creature. When you take this reaction, you may spend 2 ki points to make two unarmed strikes instead of one.

Unconscious Defense

Starting at 3rd level, your agility and awareness combine into an unbreakable defense that can only be stopped if one or the other is compromised. While you have the benefits of your Unarmored Defense, and you are not restrained or incapacitated, your AC equals 13 + DEX modifier + WIS.

Effortless Deflection

At 6th level, your ability to dodge and deflect attacks becomes effortless to you. Your Patient Defense and Deflect Missile features no longer require Ki to use. Additionally, even if the ranged weapon attack misses, you may expend your reaction to grab the missile and throw it as though you dropped the damage of the missile to zero.

Unseen Dodge

Beginning at 11th level, you can dodge so effortlessly that your enemies might have thought they hit you. As a reaction when you are hit by an attack roll, you may spend 3 ki points to make the attack miss you instead of hit. After doing so, you may teleport up to half of your movement speed to an unoccupied space of your choice.

Mastered Instincts

At 17th level, you have separated your consciousness from your body, allowing it to move and fight independent of your thoughts and emotions. You gain a second reaction. This reaction is thoughtless and thus you cannot cast any spells or activate any items with this reaction.
