Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

A being with immortality has taken pity on your soul and chosen to give you new life, but it comes at a cost. To give life, something must be taken away.

Immortal Boon

Starting at 1st level, you are imbued with your patron's power, allowing you to come back to life after you die instantly.

Whenever you reach 0 hit points, the power of your patron flows through you, reviving you to half your max health (rounded down). This feature is used automatically, but each time you use it, the duration it takes to reuse it increases.

The first 3 times you revive, you can not use this feature again until you take a short rest.

After 4 times used, you can't revive until you take a long rest.

After you have used this feature 8 times, you must take 2 long rests to use it again.

The duration increases after every 4 uses, increasing the number of long rests needed by 1.

Immortal Path

At 6th level, you are given a new feature based on how many times you have died.

Path of Death

If you have used your Immortal Boon more than 8 times, you are given the ability to create an orb of darkness. Anyone who touches the orb is cursed with a random debuff for 2 hours. You can create up to 1 orb each day.

Path of Life

If you have yet to use your Immortal Boon more than 8 times, you are given the ability to create an orb of light. Anyone who touches the orb is given a random buff that lasts for 2 hours. You can create up to 1 orb each day.

Immortal Path advancement

At level 10, you have gained more control over the powers granted to you, allowing for greater effects.

Path of Death

Your courage and strength have been recognized by your patron, and they grant you more power. You may now create an orb of darkness with a specific debuff, however, the debuff lasts for 30 minutes and you must maintain concentration to keep the orb of darkness summoned.

Path of Life

Your hard work has been recognized by your patron, and they have gifted you more of their power. You are able to extend the time your orb of light's buffs last by an hour (3 hours total). You may also choose to create an orb of light that gives a specific buff for 30 minutes, but you must maintain concentration to keep the orb of light present.

Immortal Path advancement (2)

At 14th level, you have proven to be devout to your patron and are starting to make the power your own.

Path of Death

Chosen by your patron, you are able to imbue your weapon with cursed energy, giving it a chance to curse anyone it touches (aside from yourself). every time a creature is hit with your cursed weapon, roll a d8. If the result is even there is no effect. If the result is odd, then you must roll for the curse on the curse table. Additionally, anyone who tries to wield your curse weapon, other than you, must immediately roll on the curse table and is forced to drop the weapon.

You may change the weapon that is cursed, however, you must roll on the curse table yourself. The curse rolled will go away after a full 12 hours.

Path of Life

As you have given yourself to the path of healing and life, your powers should reflect that. Your patron has recognized your wish for life and given you the ability to extend your own. You may increase your hit points by half your level permanently, starting at 14th level.
