Path of the Ronin

Warriors who have abandoned their master or clan, Ronin live by their own code of honor, not their society's. Remain stalwart in the face of adversity, and use your teachings to uphold your honor. But most importantly, fight until your dying breath to defend your freedom.

Focused Fury

With honed body and mind, your rage is a tool to harness like any other. No matter what you feel, you never lose sight of what is important. Upon choosing this path at 3rd level, you may opt to use your reaction to enter a rage when targeted by an attack or spell. Once enraged, you gain temporary hit points equal to your barbarian level + your strength modifier.

Unbound Spirit

Unbound by a master, order, or clan, there is no-one left to govern you but yourself. Upon reaching 6th level, you gain +5 to movement speed, and you have advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed.

Iaijutsu

Poised to strike at any time, you're always a step ahead of your opponent. After reaching 10th level, you gain advantage on the first attack roll of each of your turns. Additionally, if you use your action to stow one weapon and draw another, you may make an attack with the newly-drawn weapon as part of the same action.

Kishi Kaisei

Fight each battle as if you were already dead, and you cannot know defeat. Upon reaching 14th level, if you are brought to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you may instead fall to 1 hit point. When this happens, you enter a rage, and may re-roll your temporary hit points acquired by Focused Fury. If the attacker that brought you to 0 hit points is defeated before this rage ends, you may regain hit points equal to your Focused Fury bonus. If your attacker is not defeated in time, or you are once again brought to 0 hit points, you will fall unconscious and begin to roll death saving throws as usual.

Kishi Kaisei can only be used once per long rest.
