Base Class: Sorcerer
You are born of, touched by or become one with the flame. No matter how it happened, you have a proclivity towards the blaze in both offensive and social situations. It is more than likely that you have a boisterous personality, often choosing to take the more exciting road. In battle, you burn brighter the longer your flame is stoked.
Every team can benefit by having a Flame Sorcerer. They have the tendency to bring warmth in the cold of night and when things become dark, you can always follow the light.
Flame Speaker
The arcane magic you command is infused with elemental fire. You can speak, read, and write Infernal. Knowing this language allows you to understand and be understood by those who speak its dialects: Aquan, Auran, Ignan, and Terran.
Flame Engine
If you used a fire-based spell on your previous turn, and you are doing so again on this turn, you may add a d4 to the damage roll. This effect can be stacked up to your proficiency bonus. If for any reason you fail to cast a fire-based spell to maintain/advance this effect, it resets.
Flame Body
At 6th level, you gain resistance to fire damage. Additionally, when an enemy attacks you while within 5ft of you, they take fire damage equal to your CHA modifier.
Flame Sense
At 6th level, you become keenly aware of any open flame within 60ft of you. This sense can penetrate most barriers, but it is blocked by 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt.
Once you sense the open non-magical flame, you are able to take an action to see, not hear, from the perspective of the flame. While you see from the flame's perspective, your own body becomes blind and deaf for the duration.
Additionally, if you have a direct line of sight to the non-magical flame, you may use a bonus action to teleport yourself to a space within 5 ft of it. You may do this an amount of times equal to your proficiency bonus.
Flame Decoy
Starting at 14th level, as a bonus action, you are able to create a perfect image of yourself while concentrating as if concentrating on a spell.
It looks and sounds like you but is hot to the touch as it is made of flame. On your turn, using a free action, you may move your image up to a distance equal to your movement speed. If your image passes through another creature or is attacked by one within 5ft of it, they take damage equal to your CHA modifier.
Furthermore, you may target this image for your 'Flame Shift' ability. The image lasts until concentration ends or up to 10 minutes. You may do this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus.
Flame Soul
At 18th level, you become able to adopt a form of pure flame. As a bonus action, you gain the following properties,
- Immune to fire damage
- Able to move through a space 1-inch wide without squeezing
- Sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light in an additional 30 feet
- You hover 1ft above the ground and are thus unaffected by difficult terrain
- Your 'Flame Engine' starts and advances at 2d4 every turn
These effects last up to 1 minute or once you've been knocked unconscious. You may do this twice a day, refreshing at dawn.
