Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

A paladin who wanted to serve a questionable power by harvesting pain and blood.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Bloody Weapon. As an action, you can slash a weapon onto your hand. For 1 minute, you add your Charisma modifier to attack rolls (with a maximum of +1), and if you hit one target 3 times in a row, the target takes damage equal to a fifth of their health rounded down. If the weapon is not already magical, it becomes magical for the duration.

You can end this effect on your turn as part of any other action. If you are no longer holding or carrying this weapon, or if you fall unconscious, this effect ends.

Courage. As an action, you can imbue yourself and one other willing creature with the power of courage. You and that creature are immune to being frightened for 1 minute, or until you are incapacitated, paralyzed, or knocked unconscious

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Oath of Devotion Spells

Aura of Blood

Starting at 7th level, enemy creatures within 10 feet of you that have been there for 3 or more turns must succeed a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take damage equal to a fourth of their health rounded down while you are conscious.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Blood Shield

Beginning at 15th level, you gain resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

Bloodsteal Blade

At 20th level, as an action, you can emanate an aura of bloodlust and death. For 1 minute, dim light sheds from you in a 30-foot radius.

As an action, you can steal the life out of any hostile creature within 40 ft as you slam your weapon into the ground. Each hostile creature takes 6d12 necrotic damage.

You heal the amount of damage taken.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
