Base Class: Paladin
In a realm where the clashing of swords and the casting of spells are the common languages of heroism and villainy, the Oath of Love stands as a testament to the power of the heart. This sacred vow, taken by the bravest of paladins, turns the universal force of love into a beacon of hope, healing, and protection. It is a reminder that amidst the chaos of battle and the complexities of adventure, love remains an indomitable force, capable of overcoming darkness with its light.
The Paladin of Love
Paladins who swear the Oath of Love dedicate their lives to the principles of compassion, empathy, and kindness. They believe that the strongest armor is the love they bear for others and that their most powerful weapon is the will to protect that love at all costs. These paladins serve as guardians of the heart, champions of the downtrodden, and defenders of those who seek refuge in the light of love.
Their journey is one of connection, building bonds that transcend the physical realm and touch the very essence of beings. They see beyond the surface, recognizing the potential for love and redemption in all creatures. Their mission is not only to fight against the darkness but to illuminate the path for others, guiding them towards a future where love prevails over hatred and fear.
The Call to Love
The call to follow the Oath of Love is not for the faint of heart. It requires a paladin to place their trust in the power of love, even when faced with insurmountable odds. This oath is a commitment to act with kindness and mercy, to offer forgiveness to those who have strayed from the light, and to stand steadfast in the face of adversity. Paladins of Love are beacons in the darkness, their actions a testament to the belief that love is the greatest force in the universe.
Taking the Oath of Love is a declaration that the paladin will wield love as their shield and compassion as their guide. They vow to protect love in all its forms, fighting to ensure it remains a light that can never be extinguished. In a world brimming with conflict and despair, these paladins are a reminder of the strength found in tenderness and the courage found in a heart open to love.
Tenets of Love
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Sacred Weapon. As an action, you can imbue one weapon that you are holding with positive energy, using your Channel Divinity. For 1 minute, you add your Charisma modifier to attack rolls made with that weapon (with a minimum bonus of +1). The weapon also emits bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light 20 feet beyond that. If the weapon is not already magical, it becomes magical for the duration.
You can end this effect on your turn as part of any other action. If you are no longer holding or carrying this weapon, or if you fall unconscious, this effect ends.
Turn the Unholy. As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer censuring fiends and undead, using your Channel Divinity. Each fiend or undead that can see or hear you within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw. If the creature fails its saving throw, it is turned for 1 minute or until it takes damage.
A turned creature must spend its turns trying to move as far away from you as it can, and it can’t willingly move to a space within 30 feet of you. It also can’t take reactions. For its action, it can use only the Dash action or try to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there’s nowhere to move, the creature can use the Dodge action.

Lay on Heart
Starting at 7th level, you can utilize your healing pool to a greater degree.
When you would use your Lay on Hands to heal, you can instead give allies temporary hit points, which last for one (1) hour. Also, while the temporary hit points (minimum 5) granted by this effect are on ally/allies, they gain advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened, along with resistance to necrotic damage.
Radiant Empathy
At 15th level, the compassion you carry within your heart is so powerful, your foes find it difficult to do you harm. When a creature within 30 feet of you that is not immune to charm effects damages you with a spell or attack, you may reduce that damage by your Charisma modifier.
Unconditional Love
At 20th level, as an action, you can further empower your Lay on Hands with one of the following abilities:
You can cast the “Remove Curse” spell without expending a spell slot and without needing the material components for the cost of 4 points from your healing pool.
You can cast the “Greater Restoration” spell without expending a spell slot and without needing the material components for the cost of 6 points from your healing pool.
You can cast the “True Resurrection” spell without expending a spell slot and without needing the material components once per long rest.for the cost of 10 points from your healing pool.
