Druid
Base Class: Druid

Druids of the Circle of the Sun act in many ways as counterparts to the Circle of the Moon. Like the two celestial bodies, they act independently and stand as starkly different strands of druids, yet they both haunt the wilds as beast almost as much as they do as humanoids. Members of the Circle of the Sun embrace their shapeshifting, pushing the limits of what forms they can take and the frequency with which they can change.

Circle Spells

Your adeptness at changing into other creatures and worship of the Sun infuses you with the ability to cast certain spells. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to circle spells connected to the Sun and transformation.

Once you gain access to a circle spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Minor Wild Shape

When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain the ability to use Wild Shape more often. You can spend a spell slot to immediately use the Wild Shape feature without expending a usage of it. The level of spell slot expended determines the challenge rating of the creature you transform into as shown in the Minor Wild Shape table. All other limitations for transformation apply as normal.

Versatile Wild Shape

The rites of your circle grant you the ability to transform into a wider variety of animal forms. Starting at 2nd level, you can ignore the limitations on flying and swimming speed when using Wild Shape. Starting at 6th level, you can transform into monstrosities as well as beasts.

Quick Change

Starting at 6th level, you gain the ability to use Wild Shape on your turn as a bonus action, rather than as an action.

Comfortable Form

At 10th level, you can pick one beast or monstrosity that has a challenge rating of 1 or lower. You can transform into this creature just as you would when using Wild Shape without expending a use of your Wild Shape feature. Whenever you gain a level in this class, you may swap out this creature for a different beast or monstrosity of challenge rating of 1 or lower.

Wild Shape Mastery

Starting at 14th level, you can use your Wild Shape to transform into a creature with a challenge rating as high as your druid level divided by 3, rounded down.
