Base Class: Barbarian
The Path of the Bent Coin is named after the favored offering of the god of luck and destruction. The coin symbolizes that which most gambles or games of chance are focused on; bending it shows a willingness to destroy even things that are valuable. These bent coins are offered to the god in shrines and temples, though not many temples to Bolero exist, by those who seek good fortune in a coming event, or by those that seek destruction of an enemy. The higher the coin's value, the more luck the offering brings. The offering Bolero most values is that of another god, Cordovan. Cordovan's priest mint coins, referred to as "coins of war," to be given to soldiers before battle, those that survive offer the coin back to the god in a ritual at a temple. Bolero shines his favor most brightly on those who offer him a bent coin of war, relishing in the insult to his opposing god. Barbarians of the Path of the Bent coin often have at least one of these coins of war bent around a cord or chain on their person, holding it when asking the destroyer god's blessing.
Destroyer's Fury
Starting at level 3, the first time you hit a creature with a melee attack on your turn while raging, you can cause each other creature within 5 feet of the creature you hit, except you, to take 2 damage. The damage increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 3 at 5th level, 4 at 10th level, 5 at 15th level, and 6 at 20th level.
Additionally choose one of the following features to gain. You may change the feature you chose when you gain a level in this class.
Fire Storm. Your destroyer's fury deals fire damage and you may add the extra damage from your rage class feature to the damage dealt with destroyer's fury.
Seismic Break. Your destroyer's fury deals bludgeoning damage and you create difficult terrain in a 5 foot radius around the creature you attacked to become difficult terrain. Additionally, if a creature other than you ends their turn in this area, they take the same damage dealt initially. The difficult terrain lasts until the start of your next turn.
Tidal Wave. Your destroyer's fury deals cold damage and you force the creature you attacked and all creatures affected by this ability to be pushed 5 feet in any direction.
Walking Disaster
Starting at 6th level only destruction is left in your wake. When you make a melee attack against an object or a structure you deal double damage.
High Risk
Also at 6th level, if you fall unconscious while you are raging you may choose to use this ability on your first death saving throw. If your save would be a success you treat it as if you rolled a 20 and if it would be a failure you treat it as if you rolled a 1. Whatever the outcome, once you have used this ability you may not do so again until you finish a long rest.
Mighty Gamble
Starting at 10th level, when you make an attack roll while you are raging and don't have disadvantage on the attack, you may choose to gain disadvantage on the attack roll. If you hit with the attack, you double the amount of damage that you deal. You may not use this ability while you are also using your reckless attack class feature.
Greater Destroyer's Fury
Also starting at 10th level, your destroyer's fury class feature affects each other creature within 10 feet of the creature you hit, except you. Additionally, you may change the feature you chose when you finish a long rest instead of when you gain a level in this class.
High Reward
Starting at 14th level, when you succeed on an attack roll you may use a bonus action before rolling damage to potentially deal a massive amount of damage. When one or more of your damage dice show a maximum possible result, roll an additional die for each and add its result to the original damage total. You can continue to roll as long as a die shows its maximum possible result, adding each new number to the damage total until a die shows less than a maximum result. The type of damage from the extra dice is the same as the type of damage from your destroyer's fury feature.
