Base Class: Sorcerer
Your magical talents spawn from the eternal flame burning in your soul.
One With the Flames
1st–level Pyromancer feature
You can speak, read, and write Primordial. Knowing this language allows you to understand and be understood by those who speak its dialects: Aquan, Auran, Ignan, and Terran. If you already know Primordial, then you may pick a different language of your choice. You also gain resistance to fire damage.
Flame Affinity
1st–level Pyromancer feature
You can manipulate small flames, such as candles and torches. As a bonus action, you can light or douse a small flame within 30 feet. Any flame lit this way gives off light for an additional 5 feet, but does not deal damage to objects or creatures.
Pyromancer Spells
1st–level Pyromancer feature
You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Pyromancer Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it does not count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.
Pyromancer Spells
| SORCERER LEVEL | SPELLS |
|---|---|
| 1st | Burning Hands, Hellish Rebuke, Produce Flame |
| 3rd | Heat Metal, Scorching Ray |
| 5th | Fireball, Melf's Minute Meteors |
| 7th | Fire Shield, Wall of Fire |
| 9th | Flame Strike, Immolation |
Burning Body
6th–Level Pyromancer Feature
Whenever you cast a spell of 1st–level or higher that deals fire damage, magical flames erupt from you. All creatures of your choice that you can see within 10 feet take fire damage equal to half your sorcerer level (rounded down).
When you reach higher levels in this class, the range of your fury burst increases, 20 feet at 10th, 30 feet at 14th, and 40 feet at 18th–level.
Inferno Magic
6th–level Pyromancer feature
Spells you cast of 1st–level or higher, ignore resistance to fire damage.
In addition, whenever you deal fire damage with a spell of 1st–level or higher, you can deal additional fire damage equal to your Charisma modifier to one damage roll of that spell.
Pyromancer’s Fury
14th–level Pyromancer feature
Whenever a creature within 60 feet of you hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to shot burning flares from your body that seek out your attacker. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d6 fire damage. On a successful save, a creature takes half damage. The damage delt by this ability ignores resistance to fire damage.
Hell Inferno Tornado
18th–level Pyromancer feature
As an action, you can summon the fires of hell to form a tornado of burning death. The tornado appears centered on a point of your choice along the ground that you can see within 90 feet of you. The tornado is a 15–foot–radius, 100–foot–high cylinder of raging fire. The tornado sheds bright light out to 120 feet and dim light out to an additional 120 feet. The tornado lasts for 1 minute or until you are incapacitated or die.
After summoning the tornado, you can use a bonus action on your subsequent turns to move the tornado 30 feet along any solid surface.
When the tornado appears and the first time the tornado enters a creature's space on a turn, that creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, a creature takes 8d8 fire damage, and if the target is a creature or a flammable object, it ignites. While ignited, a creature or a flammable object takes 1d8 fire damage at the start of each of its turns, until a creature takes an action to douse the fire. On a successful save, a creature takes half damage and is not ignited.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you complete a long rest.
Soul of Fire
18th–level Pyromancer feature
You gain immunity to fire damage. In addition, spells you cast of 1st–level or higher, ignore resistance to fire damage and treats immunity to fire damage as resistance.
