"Those who harness the assassin's fist guide those who receive its wrath to Heaven."

The Way of the Ansatsuken is an ancient fighting style that is used by many, but mastered by few. At the fundamental level, the art is about using your emotions to channel your ki into powerful techniques.

As one can deduce from the name, its primary use is to kill, however, if you are capable of controlling your emotions, you can also use it in a more peace full way.

By tapping into one's ki, an Ansatsuken warrior can channel the energy known as Hadou, granting him great power.

Sweep and Throw

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn the basics of hand-to-hand combat and how to put your opponent out of balance.

Once per turn, whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can choose to force the target to make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, you manage to throw the creature off balance and you knock it prone.

Haduken (Fireball)

At 3rd level, you learn how to project your ki into an focused blasts of energy.

As an action, you can spend 1 ki point to make a ranged attack against a target you can see within 30 feet. The bonus for this attack is equal to your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier. On a hit, the target takes force damage.

Treat this attack as an unarmed strike for the purposes of all other monk features.

Lucky Dragon, Hungry Feet

At 6th level, through focused training, you have learned the core techniques of this martial art, Shoryuken (Dragon Punch) and Tatsumaki (Tornado Kick).

Treat these attack as an unarmed strikes for the purposes of all other monk features.

Shoryuken (Dragon Punch)

You kneel and ready yourself to perform a powerful spinning push that ascend vertically hitting everything on its path and pushing your opponents into the air.

As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to make a single melee attack against a target within melee range. On a hit any possible targets up to 10 feet above the target are also hit. Each target that is hit by your attack must make a Strength saving throw against your Ki DC. On a fail, the creature is pushed 10 feet up and 5 feet away from you then falls prone, taking falling damage (1d6 bludgeoning damage for every 10 feet it fell).

Tatsumaki (Tornado Kick)

You can make a whirlwind kick attack against everyone and everything around you.

As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to make a single melee attack that targets everything adjacent to you. Every creature hit, must make a Strength saving throw against your Ki DC. On a failed save, a hit target is pushed 10 feet away from you. Objects hit which weigh under 2x your weight automatically fail this save

Ashura Senku (Flashing Demon)

At 11th level, you learn how to use your ki to cause your body to become blurred, shifting and wavering to all who can see you and allowing you to move through your opponents with ease and without impediment.

When you use the Dash action, you can spend 3 additional ki points to move through difficult terrain and spaces occupied by another creature at normal speed until the beginning of your next turn. You cannot end your movement in a space occupied by another creature. Also until the beginning of your next turn, all creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls made against you.

Ansatsuken Master

At 11th level, you have mastered the core technique. When you use your Dragon Fist or Tornado Kick you can pay additional ki points to make it more powerful.

Kongoshin (Diamond Body)

At 17th level, you unlock the full potential of your ki, enhancing your awareness and allowing you to assume a state of ultimate defense.

Every time you take damage from an attack or spell, you can use your reaction to spend 4 ki points and completely ignore any damage or effect. If you spend 3 additional ki points, you can reflect the attack or spell back to the attacker. Area spells are not affected by this ability unless they target you.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier (to a minimum of once). You regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.
