Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

Most people believe that destruction is inherently evil. The antithesis of life and beauty, and a chaotic force that ruins all it touches. However, this is not always the case. In some cases, destruction is needed to wipe away the old and broken so something new and beautiful may form in its place. Those who follow the Eruption Domain have seen this firsthand. Drawing power from the mighty volcano, these clerics believe that the best things in life are those forged in fire, and they are more than happy to supply it. Whether it be forging a masterpiece in the heat of creation, or striking down enemies with destructive flames, Clerics of the Eruption Domain embrace their fiery spirit and unleash their full chaotic power for all to see.

Bonus Cantrip

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain the produce flame cantrip. This counts as a cleric spell for you, but does not count against the amount of cantrips known.

Wrath of the Inferno

Also at 1st level, you can blazingly rebuke attackers. When a creature within 5 feet of you that you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to cause the creature to make a Dexterity saving throw using your spell save DC. The creature takes 2d8 fire damage on a failed saving throw, and half as much damage on a successful one.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Volcanic Explosion

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to unleash the power of flames and destruction with ultimate ferocity. When you roll damage for an attack or spell that does fire or radiant damage, you can use your Channel Divinity to deal maximum damage instead of rolling.

Ashen Body

At 6th level, your body has adapted to the sweltering heat and power of your volcanic domain. You gain resistance to fire and radiant damage.

Fiery Strike

At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with burning energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 fire damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

Eternal Flame

At 17th level, your body has mastered the inner flame that burns deep within you. Your resistance to fire and radiant damage now becomes immunity instead.
