Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Luxborn use light magic to prismatically empower illusions and protect their allies.

Luxborn Spells

1st-level Luxborn feature

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Luxborn Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be an illusion or an abjuration spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list.

Sorcerer Level Spells
1st color spray, guiding bolt, faerie fire
3rd invisibility, mirror image
5th Major Image, hypnotic pattern
7th resilient sphere, sickening radiance
9th mislead, wall of force

Light Mastery

1st-level Luxborn feature

You know the sacred flame, light and Dancing Lights Cantrips.

Living Prism

6th-level Luxborn feature

When you or an ally within 10 ft of you casts a spell that deals radiant damage, you may add an addition 1d6 of either acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, or thunder damage to the attack.

Additionally, if you or an ally within 10 ft of you were to take radiant damage, you may spend your reaction and a sorcery point to absorb 1d6 of the damage dealt and add the absorbed damage to your next spell damage roll as either acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, or thunder damage.

The dice rolled in this feature increases by an additional 1d6 at lvls 14(2d6) and 18 (3d6).

Iridescent Eruption

14th-level Luxborn feature

You unleash the hidden light within you. As a bonus action, you erupt with the effects of the daylight spell for 10 minutes. Each creature of your choice within 60 feet of you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be blinded until the end of its next turn.

At any time you may cause the effects of a Word of Radiance cantrip cast at your level, with your spell save DC, cast from the location of one of your Iridescent illusions. You can use this ability once per Iridescent illusion, and regain all uses at the start of your next turn.

Choose any number of illusions within 60ft of the Iridescent Eruption. They become Iridescent: for their remaining duration, you may treat the space within 10ft of the chosen illusions as within 10ft of you for the purposes of your Living Prism ability. In addition, at any time you may cause the effects of a word of radiance cantrip cast at your level, with your spell save DC, cast from the location of one of your Iridescent illusions. You can use this ability once per Iridescent illusion, and regain all uses at the start of your next turn.

Once you use this bonus action, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you spend 5 sorcery points to use it again.

Subsume Light

18th-level Luxborn feature

As an action, you may use 3 sorcery points to immediately identify any illusions or sources of magical light within a 120ft of you. If you identify any active illusions or sources of magical light, you may dispel them to restore a spell slots of equivalent level.
