Way of Chaos

Monks of the Way of Chaos are masters of the Chaos Energy this world flows with. This energy can be manipulated and manifested in physical ways, occasionally as blasts, spears, or even teleportation. Most monks of this archetype have experienced and harnessed the unlimited power of the seven Chaos Emeralds.

 

Chaos Manifestation

Starting at 3rd level, you can use your ki to harness and manifest Chaos Energy in various forms. When making an attack, you can choose to spend 1 ki point and replace one weapon attack with one of the moves below:

• Chaos Control: You teleport up to 10 feet in any direction of your choice.
• Chaos Spear: You create a crackling spear in a free hand and attack with it. The spear does 2d10 force damage on a hit, and disappears after use.
• Chaos Blast: You send a blast of destructive energy at a target within 30 feet. The blast deals 2d8 force damage on a hit, and can destroy nonmagical objects within a 5 foot sphere.

If the move requires an attack roll, you use your own attack modifier. You can only choose one move per turn.

Super Form

Starting at 6th level, you learn to harness the power of the Chaos Emeralds and bolster yourself physically and spiritually. Twice per long rest, you can enter a Super Form. As you enter a super form, your hair, clothes, or other aspects of you begin to glow yellow or another color. The Super Form lasts for 30 minutes, and you gain the following benefits:

• Your speed increases by 10 feet.
• Your attack and damage rolls increase by 2
• You can make an additional weapon attack when you take the attack action on your turn. The damage done by this attack can be normal or radiant.

After you enter your Super Form, you cannot exit your Super Form until the time expires, as you do not have full control of your form.

Super Sonic Flight

Starting at 11th level, your Super Form gains the ability to fly. You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed. In addition, if you are in your super form, you can use the dash action as a free action.

Hyper Form

At 17th level, you learn to harness the power of the Master Emerald, allowing you to strengthen your Super Form. You permanently gain the benefits of your Hyper Form, as the Master Emerald has permanent effects on you. You glow iridescently and shine rainbow colors instead of a singular color. You gain the following benefits at all times, and they replace the benefits of your super form:

• You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls.
• You gain a +1 to armor class.
• Your speed increases by 15 feet.
• You can make 2 additional melee weapon attacks when taking the attack action. The damage of these attacks can be normal or radiant.
• You gain expertise in Acrobatics.
