Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Long ago, in a land shrouded in darkness and ruled by ancient evils, a tribe of warriors known as the Blood Reavers emerged. They were a fierce and ruthless band of warriors who reveled in the chaos and destruction wrought by their battles. They were feared and respected by all who knew of them, for they possessed a secret knowledge of dark magic and the sacrifice of life force that allowed them to tap into the very essence of raw power.

Legend has it that the Blood Reavers were once ordinary warriors, but they stumbled upon an ancient tome that detailed the forbidden art of blood magic. It was said that the book was written by a powerful vampire who used his magic mixed with the blood of his victims to create mindless warriors who would carry out his bidding unquestioningly. The Blood Reavers used this knowledge to create their own sacrificial rituals, imbuing themselves and their weapons with the raw power of blood magic.

Over time, the Blood Reavers became more and more obsessed with the power of blood magic, pushing the boundaries of their abilities in ever more dangerous and gruesome ways. It was said that a demon prince, intrigued by their devotion to the art of sacrifice, appeared to the Blood Reavers in a prophetic dream, promising them even greater power if they would complete a particular ritual.

The ritual involved the sacrifice of a thousand lives, each taken with a sacrificial blade inscribed with dark runes. The Blood Reavers eagerly began the ritual, believing that they would become unstoppable with the power they would gain. However, they were interrupted before the ritual could be completed, and the frenzied rage of sacrifice that had taken hold of them was unleashed upon the land.

In the aftermath of the disaster, the few surviving members of the Blood Reavers scattered to the wind, each taking their own interpretation of the power of blood magic with them. Some became hermits, living out the rest of their days in the wilderness, while others continued to spread terror and destruction wherever they went. The secrets of blood magic lived on, passed down from generation to generation, until the Path of Sacrifice Barbarian subclass emerged, embodying the raw power and fury of blood magic in combat.

Sacrificial Blade

At 3rd level, you gain the Sacrificial Blade feature that allows you to imbue a weapon with dark energy by attuning to it over a long rest. The weapon gains the "sacrificial" property, which allows the you to choose to sacrifice hit points equal to the damage dealt by an attack made with the weapon. Health sacrificed cannot exceed 20 hp per turn. Temporary hit points cannot be sacrificed in this way and you must choose to use this ability before you roll the attack. If the attack hits, the attacker takes necrotic damage equal to the hit points sacrificed. You may only have one weapon attuned with this property at a time. Additionally, you have disadvantage on death saving throws if you health drops to zero in this way and upon death no spell short of a wish or resurrection spell can bring you back to life.

Dark Binding

Beginning at 6th level, you gain the ability to impose curses on your enemies, sapping their strength and weakening their resolve. Once per short rest, the barbarian can use Dark Binding on a creature within 30 feet of them. The creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + the barbarian's proficiency bonus + the barbarian's Constitution modifier. On a failed save, the creature is cursed for the next hour. While cursed, the creature has disadvantage on all ability checks and saving throws that use Charisma. Additionally, the barbarian gains advantage on any Charisma (Intimidation) checks made against the cursed creature during the duration of the curse.

Soul Siphon

Beginning at 10th level, you gain an ability Soul Siphon. This ability allows you to manipulate the life force of others on the battlefield. When the barbarian kills a creature with an attack made using their sacrificial weapon, they may use their reaction to force the creature to make a Wisdom saving throw against a DC of 8+ proficiency bonus+ your strength modifier. On a failed save, the barbarian gains temporary hit points equal to half the creature's maximum hit points.

The barbarian can use this feature a number of times equal to their proficiency bonus per long rest (minimum of 1)

Bloodthirsty Rampage

Starting at 14th level, you are allowed to enter a frenzied state during your rage. This state lasts for as long as your rage does. You can make one additional attack per turn and deal necrotic damage equal to your proficiency bonus at the end of each of your turns to one enemy you have damaged. However, you must make a Wisdom saving throw DC 10. On a failed saving throw, you will attack the nearest creature to you

this saving throw increases by 5 each use until you take a long rest. You can use it as many times as your proficiency bonus before a long rest.
