Base Class: Fighter

To most fighters, shields are mainly used for defense. But for shieldmeisters, shields are just as effective on everything else. You have honed in usage of shields, and is able to use your shield in ways most won't expect.

Shield Striker

You have trained your strength to be able to attack foes using just your shield. When you make a melee attack with your shield, you deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1d8 + your STR modifier + your proficiency bonus.

Shield Charge

You have also trained in charging down foes with your shield. When you take the Dash action while wielding your shield, creatures that are your size or smaller you dash into during your dash need to make a DEX 15 saving throw or be pushed by your shield like a plough, and gets pushed an additional 10ft away from you when your Dash ends.

Shield Slide

Further honing your mobility, you can now use your shield to traverse difficult terrain by standing on it. When you take an action to use your shield for transportation, roll a DEX 15 skill check. On a success, you can use your shield as a hoverboard of sorts, ignoring additional movement gained from difficult terrain. You can alight your shield as a bonus action.

You can use Shield Striker on creatures you run into or land on when you are sliding on your shield

Shield Knocking

You have further increased your strength, now able to knock down foes with your shield. When you use your Shield Charge, creatures pushed by you needs to make another DEX 15 saving throw at the end of your dash or be knocked prone, taking 1d8 bludgeoing damage from the force of your push.

Shield Aura

You have honed your shield skills so much that you emit an aura of your shield. Each turn, you and any creature within 5ft of you gain a +5 to your AC as long as you are wielding a shield, as if under the effect of Shield.
