Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of the Silver Flame binds a paladin to the unrelenting ideals of bravery, servitude, and the belief that even the smallest flame can guide the innocent through the darkness. Sometimes called abyss-walkers, silver-bloods, or the deathbound, these paladins are undaunted, unwavering, and unrelenting in their crusade against the darkness. Unlike other paladins, this order doesn't just defend the meek but actively seeks out those who worship evil and strikes them down with extreme prejudice. Many who swear this oath are devoted to stomping out these dark influences in cities, villages, and even the most isolated parts of the world as part of their never-ending quest to serve the will of the Silver Flame. They hold silver dragons--the perfect agents against the darkness--as their ideals and incorporate images of silver dragons into their helmets and armor.
TENETS OF THE SILVER FLAME
Though the exact words and strictures of the Oath of the Silver Flame vary, paladins of this oath share these tenets.
Brutality. You are the bane of all things unholy. Make an example of those who worship evil.
Cleanliness. Purify these lands with the cleansing light of the Silver Flame. No mercy
Perseverance. Never falter, for they are unyielding, but you. You will be worse.
Tact. Protect the weak, but don't belittle them. They are your flock.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following three Channel Divinity options.
Silver Flame. You can use your channel divinity to unleash a pulse of cleansing light that purifies the lost and destroys evil. As an action, you send out a wave of silvery flames. Each fiend, monstrosity, and undead in a 60-foot-radius sphere centered on you must make a Constitution saving throw. The sphere spreads around corners. The creature takes 11d12 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Additionally, any creatures of your choice in that radius regain hit points equal to the amount of radiant damage dealt.
Silver Radiance. You can use your Channel Divinity to invest your presence with the warding power of your faith. As an action, you can choose a number of creatures you can see within 60 feet of you, up to a number equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one creature). For 1 minute, you and the chosen creatures have advantage on death saving throws and resistance against cold and necrotic damage.
Silver Shield. As an action, you can harness the power of the Silver Flame and engulf your body in its cleansing light, using your Channel Divinity. For one minute, you gain resistance to all damage. You also emit bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light 30 feet beyond that.
You can end this effect on your turn as part of any other action. If you fall unconscious, this effect ends.
Oath Spells
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed. In addition, your oath requires you to hunt down evil wherever it dwells, and allows you to learn spells from the ranger class. You must otherwise obey all the restrictions for selecting spells, and they become a paladin spell for you.
