Bard
Base Class: Bard

There are two things that are universal among all who live and breathe - death, and music. Why not combine the two? Funeral singers, players of sorrowful instruments, wailers of grave tunes. All combine the melancholy of death to the medium of artistry in the form of music. Originally started as a tradition by those who provided haunting notes to the background of funeral processions and honored the Gatekeeper, the College of the Coronach soon to grew to be an organization to honor both the inevitability of death and the mistress who ruled it, Dulatus.

Death's Siren

When you join the College of the Coronach, you learn a special dirge that honors the duality of the Gatekeeper, the animalistic fear of those who run from death and the calm serenity of its acceptance. As an action, you may expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to inflict dread onto your foes. All enemies capable of hearing you in a 60 feet radius must perform a DC 12 + (CHA Modifier) Charisma saving throw or become frightened, which persists even if you are no longer in line of sight. In addition (as long as the creature has the capability of being frightened) regardless of whether or not they succeeded suffer an immediate loss to their AC equal to half your Charisma modifier, rounded down.

Steel's Requiem

Unlike most other bards, you need not instruments to play your harrowing music. Weapons you are proficient with are now also considered instruments.

Dying Gasp

One’s last breath is laden with infinite potential, the forlorn futures that could’ve been, all snipped short in a moment. When a creature dies within 30 feet of you, you can absorb their final breath and transfer that possibility to yourself and your allies. You and your party gain advantage on all ability checks as well as attack rolls for one hour. Once you use this feature, you cannot use it until your next long rest.

Eternal Herald

You are a champion of the Gatekeeper, and they honor you with the title of Eternal Herald. You manifest a porcelain-like mask that becomes your new visage, representing your service to Dulatus, and are wreathed in a cloak of wisp-like shadow. As an Eternal Herald, you become immune to the frightened and charmed conditions, gain resistance to necrotic damage, and no longer suffer exhaustion or hunger. You also learn how to cast the spell Forlorn Hope without using a spell slot once per day. Finally, your Death’s Siren becomes empowered, now capable of affecting creatures as long as they are within 60 feet of you, regardless of whether or not they can hear you.
