Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who walk the path of the Draconic Descendant draw their rage from some aspect of the type of dragon from which they descend, be it greed, a sense of justice, or a need for mayhem. Their draconic ancestry manifests in great physical transformations that closely resemble the great dragon that dwells within their hearts.
Draconic Form
3rd-level Path of the Dragon feature
Your connection to your Draconic Ancestry deepens. When you enter your rage, you transform and take on more heightened draconic features, revealing the draconic power within you. Until the rage ends, you grow in size by +1 level, and further manifest aspects of your draconic heritage.
Draconic Ancestry: You have Draconic ancestry. Choose one type of Dragon from the Draconic Ancestry table. Your Breath Weapon and damage Resistance are determined by the Dragon type.
| Black | Acid | 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save) |
| Blue | Lightning | 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save) |
| Brass | Fire | 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save) |
| Bronze | Lightning | 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save) |
| Copper | Acid | 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save) |
| Gold | Fire | 15 ft. cone (Dex. save) |
| Green | Poison | 15 ft. cone (Con. save) |
| Red | Fire | 15 ft. cone (Dex. save) |
| Silver | Cold | 15 ft. cone (Con. save) |
| White | Cold | 15 ft. cone (Con. save) |
You gain heightened manifestations of your draconic form each time you rage. These abilities only persist during your rage.
Draconic Scales: Your scales harden and blaze with smoldering embers. You add +2 to your AC while raging.
Breath Weapon: Once during your rage, you can use your Action to exhale destructive energy. Your Draconic ancestry determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation.
When you use your Breath Weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your Draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your Proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th Level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level.
After you use your Breath Weapon, you can’t use it again for the remainder of your rage duration.
Tail. You grow a strong, spiky draconic tail, which deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit and has the reach property. Your tail acts as a simple weapon for you, and you add your Strength modifier to the attack and damage rolls with it, as normal. If a creature you can see within 10 feet of you hits you with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to swipe your tail and roll a d8, applying a bonus to your AC equal to the number rolled, potentially causing the attack to miss you. This effect only lasts for that one attack.
Form of the Dragon: Draconic Scales
Your scales harden and blaze with embers. You gain +2 to your AC while raging.
Draconic Soul
6th-level Path of the Dragon feature
You gain an increased mastery in your control over fire. Every time you rage, you may deal a number of attacks equal to twice your proficiency modifer where any weapon you strike with is imbued with a blazing fire, dealing an additional 1d8 plus your proficiency modifier of fire damage.
The brutish strength of your form is increased, granting you a permanent +1 modifier to your Strength stat. Additionally when you jump, you can make a Strength (Athletics) check and extend your jump by a number of feet equal to the check’s total. You can make this special check only once per turn.
You also gain advantage on any Strength saving rolls for the duration of your rage.
Jumping
When you jump, you can make a Strength (Athletics) check and extend your jump by a number of feet equal to the check’s total. You can make this special check only once per turn.
Blazing Greed
10th-level Path of the Dragon feature
When you hit a creature with fire damage while you are raging, the dragon within you can curse your target with furious greed. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus) or suffer one of the following effects (your choice):
- The target must use its reaction to make a melee attack against another creature of your choice that you can see.
- The target takes 2d12 fire damage.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Draconic Greed
14th-level Path of the Dragon feature
The dragon within you grows so powerful that you can spread its greed to others and gain resilience from them joining in your lust for treasure and gold, spreading the fire that burns within you to them. When you enter your rage, you can choose a number of other willing creatures you can see within 30 feet of you equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of one creature). You gain 5 temporary hit points for each creature that accepts this feature. Until the rage ends, the chosen creatures can each use the following benefit once on each of their turns: when the creature hits a target with an attack roll and deals damage to it, the creature can roll a d6 and gain a bonus to the damage equal to the number rolled.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
