Base Class: Rogue
You've honed your skill as a marksman, specializing in delivering deadly long-range shots with pinpoint accuracy. You favor a more subtle approach, staying out of sight and striking from afar with deadly precision. Though your methods may seem cowardly to some, those who underestimate your abilities do so at their own peril. Whether you're a lone assassin taking out key targets from afar or a mercenary providing long-range support for a team, your deadly aim is unmatched.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with heavy crossbows and longbows. Additionally, if the setting allows them, you gain proficiency in firearms.
Marksman's Position
Starting at 3rd level, you are at your deadliest when you're in position. Being prone doesn't impose disadvantage on your ranged attacks using crossbows or firearms, and whenever you make an attack roll with a bow, crossbow, or firearm, your range on that weapon is doubled.
Additionally, you gain an extra way to use your sneak attack: whenever you are prone, have the high ground, or are leaning on an object that provides you cover, you don't need advantage to use your Sneak Attack.
Precise Collateral
Starting at 9th level, you take down your enemies with great force. Whenever you make an attack roll against a creature who has not yet gone in initiative or is otherwise surprised, they must make a Constitution Saving Throw with a DC equal to 8 + your Dexterity Modifier + your Proficiency Bonus, becoming dazed on a failure.
Additionally, whenever you score a critical hit on an enemy, you can roll half your sneak attack dice and deal that amount of damage to another creature within 5 feet of the target.
Watcher
At 13th level, your perception becomes the best a mortal can achieve. You have advantage on all perception checks that rely on eyesight, and on these rolls, you cannot roll lower than a 10 on the die.
Lethal Shot
Starting at 17th level, you begin to make your shots with even more lethal precision. Whenever you take the Steady Aim bonus action and benefit from Marksman's Position, you can score a critical hit on a 19 or 20.
