Way of Control

Monks who choose this tradition, train and meditate to gain control over their whole body. Their relentless meditation lets them gain control over every inch and every muscle of their body. These monks are known to be capable of really precise, borderline impossible movements. Their dexterity lets them be highly skilled defensive martial duelists.

Micro-technique

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn to use your body in more presice ways than others. You can make micro-movements impossible to other people. When you're in a fight, you can maneuver your body in a way to reduce the damage taken.

- You get a +1 to your AC

- When you get hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to spend one ki-point to reduce that damage by one of your martial art die + your dexterity bonus.

  If you use additional ki-points, you can reduce the damage even more by one martial arts die per ki-point spent.

Quick insight

At 6th level, you gain the ability to quickly adapt to incoming attacks, and find a way to counteract them. When you get hit with a melee attack, you can use a ki-point to impose disadvantage on the enemy that hit you when they attack you with the same weapon again. They will keep having disadvantage until you lose concentration.

Unparalleled movement

Beginning at 11th level, become even more dexterous, and learn to react to the most subtle movements. You gain the following benefits: 

- your dexterity score increases by 2. It ignores the maximum of 20 points.

- When you use the micro-technique and the damage is reduced to zero, you can make an unarmed attack, still within your reaction, against the enemy that hit you, provided they are in your melee range.

Complete body-control

At 17th level, you finally become in full control over your body. You become able to utilize your body to the fullest extent. With that, you gain the following abilities: 

- Your movement speed increases by 10 additional feet

- You get advantage on stealth checks, acrobatics checks, and dexterity saving throws

- You get another +1 to your AC
