Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The tenets of the Oath of the Solari are a firm and unconditional creed that all Solari paladins follow. These tenets revolve around the protection of those under their care and protection. Paladins who uphold these tenets are willing to go to extraordinary lengths to protect their fellow Solari followers and those preyed on by Solari enemies from evil and injustice. They are strong capable warriors who will not draw steel without cause (albeit, cause may be subjective to the most haughty and zealous of the Solari) and when they do, they prove to be incredibly capable of dismantling enemies with incredible speed and power. These paladins are always lawful good or lawful neutral in alignment.

Valor. Always be prepared to stand before evil or injustice to save a life, even in the face of impossible odds, even so far as to dying to save others.

Rigid Acumen. Know when to draw steel, there are those who need help, and there are those who need to be destroyed.  The Solari faith is always open to newcomers but abhors those who dare speak against it.

Resolve. Always continue on in the face of adversity, persevere when others fall short, and be prepared to end a threat permanently to ensure lasting protection of those in your charge.

Alert and Reliable. Your words and your deeds should engender trust, dependability, and hope to all those in your care and under your protection. You do not know when or where the next threat may arise, but those you are sworn to protect trust you unconditionally to be their savior and protector when that threat does in fact arrive.

Chastity and Modesty. As a paladin of the Solari you are sworn to an oath of chastity and modesty.  You are expected to be devoted only to your faith and those you protect.  You are expected to be a model of perfection in both your actions and your presentation.  While duty may entail a slight change in dress, your standard uniform and armor is incredibly full in coverage and is not form fitting but made to be used in ceremonies and combat.

Purity of the Light. It is also well known that Solari paladins are pure paladins.  They do not come from different backgrounds nor delve into anything outside of their faith.  Those that do lose their powers and are dishonorably cast from the ranks of Solari paladins.  Few ever redeem themselves to be allowed back.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Solar Heritage. As a reaction you can use your Channel Divinity to awaken your Solari blessed blood and become immune to fire and radiant damage until the end of your next turn.

Holy Recovery. As a bonus action you can use your Channel Divinity to awaken your Solari blessed blood and regain HP equal to your paladin level + your proficiency modifier + your charisma modifier.

You are immune to the effects of the spell Slow.

Power of the Sun

Your Solari power now manifests itself as enhanced capabilities in combat.  In combat you gain the following benefits:

On a kill, you gain bonus movement speed equal to your full movement speed.

On a kill, you gain a 3rd attack this round.

On a kill, a surge of solar energy bursts forth from you, you deal radiant damage equal to your charisma modifier to enemies within 30 feet of you, ignoring resistances.  Allies in that range also recover health equal to your Charisma modifier at the same time.

Solari Avatar

At 20th level, you assume the form of a Solari Avatar, taking on an appearance you choose. For example, your skin might turn platinum or your body may become wreathed in spectral flames, your hair might become a searing jet of white hot holy flame, or you might sprout spectral wings and take on an angelic appearance.

Once per dawn, as an action, you undergo a transformation. For 10 minutes, you gain the following benefits:

At the start of each of your turns, you regain HP equal to your charisma modifier plus proficiency bonus plus your constitution modifier. During this time, your skin shines brightly and enemy creatures within 10ft must make constitution saving throws equal to your spell save or be blinded for the duration, repeating the save on the start of each of their turns.  Your power infuses with your weapons and all weapon attacks deal an additional 2d8 radiant and 2d8 fire damage that ignore damage resistances.

You also gain immunity to all conditions except grappled, incapacitated, and unconscious, but are still subject to ones already afflicting you.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until the following dawn.

A paladin of the Solari who reaches their full potential is blessed to cast Fire Storm once per dawn.
