Base Class: Sorcerer
You were once a clown, entertaining crowds with your juggling, silly antics, and colorful costumes. But one day, you discovered that you had a natural talent for magic. You began to incorporate your magical abilities into your performances, and soon you were known as the greatest magician-clown in all the land.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you choose this sorcerous origin at 1st level, you gain proficiency in Performance and Sleight of Hand skills.
Clown Magic
At 1st level, you learn the Prestidigitation cantrip, which allows you to create small magical effects such as making a coin disappear or changing the color of an object. You also gain access to the following spells at the listed sorcerer level:
- Fog Cloud (1st level)
- Mirror Image (2nd level)
- Major Image (3rd level)
- Polymorph (4th level)
- Mislead (5th level)
These spells are exclusive to the Clowning Around sorcerous origin, and do not count against your total number of spells known.
Pranks and Tricks
At 6th level, you gain the ability to use your magic to play pranks and tricks on your enemies. As a bonus action, you can expend a spell slot to create a harmless but distracting effect, such as a loud noise, a puff of smoke, or a shower of sparks. Any enemy within 30 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or become distracted, granting you advantage on your next attack against them.
Carnival of Chaos
At 14th level, you can summon a carnival of chaotic magic to surround you and your allies. As an action, you can expend a spell slot to create a 30-foot radius sphere of carnival magic centered on yourself. For the next minute, you and your allies within the sphere gain advantage on all attack rolls and saving throws, and enemies within the sphere have disadvantage on all attack rolls and saving throws. Additionally, any enemy that starts its turn within the sphere takes 2d6 psychic damage.
Master of Illusion
At 18th level, you become a master of illusion, able to create incredibly convincing magical effects. Your Major Image spell now has no limit to its duration, and creatures interacting with the illusion have disadvantage on their saving throws to see through it. Additionally, once per day, you can cast the Programmed Illusion spell without expending a spell slot.
