Bard
Base Class: Bard

Art comes in many forms, song, dance, poetry, illustration, so on and so forth. Bards of The College of Masked Theater see that to unleash your full potential, you must draw from the most powerful of beings, imitating their presence to the point where distinguishing character and actor may not be possible. By dawning masks, the bard may show their true face.

Bonus Proficiences

In order to craft the masks you wear, you must have knowledge of artistry and craftsmanship. You become proficient with the disguise kit, woodcarver's tools, and calligrapher's supplies.

Mask Craftsmanship

3rd-lvl Masked Theater feature

Your performance revolves around the face you decide to make, influencing the show you put on. After a short or long rest, you can craft 1 of 3 masks: a Celestial Mask, a Fiendish Mask, or a Draconic Mask. These masks can take on almost any appearance to their masks namesake and can only be worn by you. After crafting the mask, you can don it and gain the following benefits:

Celestial Mask: When the mask is donned, you have advantage on all Charisma (Persuasion) checks and can speak and read Celestial. Additionally, when you cast a spell that heals a creature, you can expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration to grant extra healing equal to the roll of the bardic inspiration die.

Fiendish Mask: When the mask is donned, you have advantage on all Charisma (Deception) checks and speak and read Infernal. Additionally, when you take damage from a creature you can see within 100ft of you, you can expend a Bardic Inspiration die to take Force damage equal to the Bardic Inspiration die roll plus your Charisma Modifier as a reaction. Additionally, you gain hit points equal to the damage dealt by the reaction attack.

Draconic Mask: When the mask is donned, you have advantage on all Charisma (Intimidation) and can speak and read Draconic. Additionally, when you force a creature to make a Saving Throw from a spell you cast, you can expend a use of Bardic Inspiration to reduce the creatures roll equal to the number rolled by the Bardic Inspiration die.

Immersive Role

6th-lvl Masked Theater feature

As you immerse yourself in the characters your masks provide, you begin to feel attached to their very being, and your skills as an actor grows. You can now craft two masks after a short or long rest, and can change the mask you wear with an action. Additionally, each mask gives you access to a spell exclusive to the mask, which you can use a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier. These spells do not count towards your maximum spell count and regain the use of these spells after a long rest:

Celestial Mask: You gain access to the Beacon of Hope spell.

Fiendish Mask: You gain access to the Vampiric Touch spell.

Draconic Mask: You gain access to the Call Lightning spell.

The Final Act

14th-lvl Masked Theater feature

Having become fully engrossed in the masks you have crafted, the line between your true self and your character are blurred, and you can now show the world the true power of the Celestial, Fiend, and Dragon. After finishing a short or long rest, you can now craft all 3 masks, and switch between which mask you wear as a bonus action. Your appearance may change when donning these masks filled with arcane energy, such as a halo forming around your head, horns sprouting from your head, or scales covering your upper body. Additionally, each mask grants you powerful new benefits:

Celestial Mask: When this mask is worn, all hostile creatures within 20ft around you must make a Constitution Saving Throw equal to your Spell Saving Throw or be Blinded until the start of your next turn. If you cast a spell that heals a creature, your movement does not provoke opportunity attacks as you are seen as an emissary of peace. Additionally, when you expend a Bardic Inspiration die while healing a creature, you double rolled by the die.

Fiendish Mask: When this mask is worn, you gain resistance to Fire, Poison, Cold, and Necrotic Damage. You gain a bonus to your Constitution Saving Throws equal to your Charisma Modifier, and make Saving Throws to maintain concentration at advantage. Additionally, when you expend a Bardic Inspiration die when making the Fiendish Mask reaction attack, the damage and healing are double the roll of the die.

Draconic Mask: When this mask is worn, you sprout draconic wings from your back and gain a flying speed of 30ft. As an action, you can roar, forcing all hostile creatures within 30ft that can hear you to make a Wisdom Saving Throw equal to your Spell Saving Throw or become Frightened of you. Additionally, when you expend a Bardic Inspiration die to reduce a creature's roll on a saving throw, the reduction is now double the roll of the die.
