Path of the Brawler

As a Barbarian walking, or stumbling, down the Path of the Brawler, you have more experience fighting in taverns than on frontlines, even if you may not remember many of those experiences the next day. 

You specialize in dealing damage with your fists... or with that flagon in front of you... or with that barstool you're sitting on. You're just as effective at swinging an improvised weapon around as you are with your punches, making you an unpredictable foe in combat. 

What many people would consider a weakness, a crutch or a vice, you have turned into a strength, just be careful as you descend a potentially slippery slope.

Roughhousing

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you deal more damage with unarmed strikes and improvised weapons. At 3rd level these attacks deal 1d4 damage. This increases to 1d6 at level 6, 1d8 at level 10, 1d10 at level 14, and 1d12 at level 17. If raging, apply your rage damage bonus to each attack.

While intoxicated, you can make a single unarmed or improvised weapon attack as a bonus action.

Fisticuffs

Beginning at 6th level, you can use your Bonus Action to make an additional unarmed or improvised weapon melee attack, or take either the Shove or Grapple actions as they are described in the Players Handbook as Bonus Actions.

Drunken Fury

Beginning at 10th level, you can use your bonus action to consume enough alcohol to gain the benefits of this feature. You must also be raging, and have access to this alcohol on your person. Once the alcohol is consumed, the effects will take hold after one turn.

These effects are: you must take a -5 penalty to hit with an additional damage die added to the damage roll, you are immune to both Charm and Fear effects.

This state lasts for one hour or until either the rage or intoxication ends.

 

Boxer

Starting at 14th level, when a creature within 5 ft. of you makes an attack and misses, you may use your reaction to take one unarmed strike or improvised weapon attack against that creature.
