Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Elemental Strikes: At 3rd level, your weapon attacks become imbued with elemental energy. With each strike, you choose one of the four elemental damage types - fire, cold, lightning, or acid - and unleash its destructive power upon your foes. Your strikes deal additional damage of the chosen element, leaving your enemies scorched, frozen, electrified, or dissolved by acid.

Elemental Defense: At 6th level, your connection to the elemental forces grants you enhanced protection. You gain advantage on saving throws against spells and effects that deal damage of the chosen elemental type from your Elemental Strikes feature. Your understanding of the elements allows you to resist their harmful effects with ease, making you a resilient warrior on the battlefield.

Elemental Surge: As you reach 10th level, you discover how to channel elemental energy through your weapon strikes to unleash devastating surges of power. When your weapon connects with a foe, you can choose to expend your own energy to cast a spell as part of the same attack. By combining your weapon strikes with spellcasting, you unleash a destructive combination that leaves your enemies in awe.

Elemental Mastery: By 14th level, your mastery over elemental forces reaches its pinnacle. Your weapon strikes become deadly and precise, allowing you to score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20. Every swing of your weapon is imbued with the might of the elements, delivering devastating blows that can turn the tide of any battle.

Elemental Avatar: At 18th level, you become a living embodiment of elemental power. You can assume an elemental form, choosing between fire, cold, lightning, or acid. While in this form, you gain resistance to all damage types except for the chosen element. Your weapon strikes become a torrent of elemental fury, dealing additional damage of the chosen element. As an Elemental Avatar, you become an unstoppable force, wreathed in the power of the elements.

Spellcasting: Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast elemental spells. Drawing upon your innate connection to the elements, you prepare a selection of spells from the Elemental Blade spell list. These spells complement your martial prowess and allow you to harness the forces of fire, cold, lightning, and acid in creative and devastating ways.

Embrace the power of the elements with the Elemental Blade subclass. Unleash fiery wrath, freeze your enemies in their tracks, call forth lightning to electrify your strikes, or dissolve your foes with acid. As an Elemental Blade, you combine the art of the sword with the forces of nature, becoming a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. Your enemies will tremble before the might of your elemental-infused strikes and the mastery you hold over the primal powers of the world.

Spellcasting

When you reach 3rd level, you augment your martial prowess with the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the sorcerer spell list.

Cantrips

You learn two cantrips of your choice from the sorcerer spell list. You learn an additional sorcerer cantrip of your choice at 10th level.

Spell Slots

The Elemental Blade Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your sorcerer spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell shield and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast shield using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level sorcerer spells of your choice, two of which you must choose from the abjuration and evocation spells on the sorcerer spell list.

The Spells Known column of the Eldritch Knight Spellcasting table shows when you learn more sorcerer spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be an abjuration or evocation spell of your choice, and must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.

The spells you learn at 8th, 14th, and 20th level can come from any school of magic.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the sorcerer spells you know with another spell of your choice from the sorcerer spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots, and it must be an abjuration or evocation spell, unless you’re replacing the spell you gained at 3rd, 8th, 14th, or 20th level from any school of magic.

Spellcasting Ability

Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for your sorcerer spells, since you learn your spells through study and memorization. You use your Intelligence whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a sorcerer spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Elemental Strikes

At 3rd level, your weapon attacks become infused with elemental power. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can choose to imbue your attack with elemental energy. Choose one of the following damage types: fire, cold, lightning, or acid. The target takes an additional 1d6 damage of the chosen type.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to 1 + your Charisma modifier. You regain all expended uses of this feature after finishing a short or long rest.

Elemental Defense

At 7th level, you have honed your connection to the elemental forces, gaining additional protection. You have advantage on all spell attacks made against you that deal fire, cold, lightning, or acid damage.

Eldritch Strike

At 10th level, you learn how to make your weapon strikes undercut a creature’s resistance to your spells. When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, that creature has disadvantage on the next saving throw it makes against a spell you cast before the end of your next turn.

Elemental Mastery

At 15th level, your mastery over elemental forces reaches its pinnacle. Your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.

Elemental Avatar

At 18th level, you become a living embodiment of elemental power. As an action, you can assume an elemental form for 1 minute. Choose one of the following elemental forms: fire, cold, lightning, or acid. While in this form, you gain resistance to all damage types except for the chosen type, and your weapon attacks deal an additional 1d10 damage of the chosen type.
