Bard
Base Class: Bard

Since centuries, creatures with bad humour have been gathering together for their love for Puns and Dad Jokes.

It was inevitable that those of cringy humoristic character would bound together to build the College of Paronomasia, where each individual shares their puns and dad jokes with others to help each other become the most humoristic creatures in the world. At least in their own eyes...

Those individuals would become Bards of unrivalled cringy humour and would go out to unleash their mastered art upon the world.

 Subclass Cantrip

When choosing this subclass at 3rd level, you get to add the Dad Joke cantrip.

Role Play Suggestion

Whenever the player makes a Pun or a Dad Joke, the player's character casts the Dad Joke at the closest creature. If there are several possible targets, the target for the spell is decided randomly.

Feature Suggestion

The level 14 feature Massive Cringe was thought for 10th level. It is up to the DM to either leave it at level 14 or grant it at level 10.

Cringy Humour

3rd-level College of Paronomasia feature

When a creature outside of combat is hostile to you, you can make a Charisma (Persuasion) check to make them cringe from your bad counter pun in order to turn them neutral towards you and friendly creatures with you.

Painfull Puns

3rd-level College of Paronomasia feature

Once per turn, when you deal Psychic damage to a creature, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration. Roll the Bardic Inspiration die. The number rolled is added to the damage dealt, and the target can't take any reaction until the start of your next turn.

If the Psychic damage is dealt by the Dad Joke cantrip, the number rolled with the Bardic Inspiration die is doubled.

Infectious Humour

6th-level College of Paronomasia feature

A creature that is inspired by your Bardic Inspiration is adept to your special kind of humour. As a reaction, when an inspired creature is with an attack, it can use its Bardic Inspiration die and subtract the number rolled from the attacker's roll, potentially turning the attack into a miss by giving a perfect counter pun.

Stun Pun

6th-level College of Paronomasia feature

As an action, you choose one creature that you can see and that can hear you within 30ft. and utter the worst Dad Joke within your repertoire. The creature must succeed on an Intelligence saving throw (8 + Proficiency Bonus + Cha) or be stunned for 1 minute. A creature with an intelligence score of 9 or less is immune to this effect.

Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long or short rest, for the best jokes are never to be told twice a day.

Massive Cringe

14th-level College of Eloquence feature

Creatures that are inspired by you or another Bard from the College of Paronomasia ignore the damage dealt from the secondary effect of your Dad Joke cantrip. Those creatures instead laugh and spread the cringe. The secondary effect of the Dad Joke cantrip is repeated by each of those creatures. Each creature can only repeat that effect once per spell cast.

Creatures that are not inspired in that way will take damage several times if they stand within 5 feet of several of the inspired creatures that repeat the effect.
