Blood Hunter
Base Class: Blood Hunter

Those who are lost to us do not always stay gone, as is the case in the Awakened. Those that perished, be it gruesome or peacefully, just to be restored through unorthodox methods.
Not truly one of the living again, yet not corrupted by undeath; this limbo grants them abilities to aid their journey.

Brandishing their denial of death as a mark of defiance to destiny, Awakened Blood Hunters are a force that refuses to stay down, their enemies watching as they persevere no matter odds nor onslaught.

Witness of the Undying

At 3rd level, begin to explore the abilities gifted to you through your revival. Gain the following features.

Vengeful Sacrifice: Each time you take damage from activating your Crimson Rite or amplifying a Blood Curse, you gain a Vengeance Token.
Using a token grants advantage on the next attack roll made. You lose all tokens after being out of combat for 30minutes, you are incapacitated, or take a long or short rest.

The Curse of Life: You can no longer die without failing Three Death Saving Throws. Any effect that would kill you outright instead reduces you to 0 hit points, you must then make Death Saving Throws as usual. You also only fail one death save when you are hit at 0 hit points, or if you roll a natural 1 on your death save.

Knowledge of the Undying

At 7th level, your understanding of the boundary between life and death strengthens. You gain the following features.

The Tilted Exchange: You learn the cantrip Revivify if not already known, and can cast it a number of times equal to your PB every long rest. Individuals you revive this way have additional hit points equal to your Blood Hunter modifier with a minimum of 1hp, on top of the 1hp normally restored with Revivify.

Death's Broker: You're ability to turn your own life essence into power grants you the ability to amp attacks more directly. You gain the ability Blood Strike, allowing you to use your lifeforce to empower the next blow you deal. Every 5hp you sacrifice allows you to add a d6 to the damage of your next blow you land, up to a max of an additional 6d6 (30hp). The damage dealt is the same as the attack used. Exampled, a firebolt would deal additional fire damage, a greatsword would deal additional slashing damage, and so on.
The damage for this feature increases as you progress in Blood Hunter levels.

Vision of the Undying

At 11th level, your Brand of Castigation grants insight and boons over a creature's death. You know the current hitpoints of a branded creature, any curses or diseases it is afflicted with, as well as any effect the creature has that would allow it to return to life such as the clone spell or a phylactery.
In addition, when a creature branded by you dies you are able to siphon energy from it, gaining hitpoints equal to your level + your Blood Hunter modifier.

Will of the Undying

At 15th level, your understanding of those that walk the line between and away from life and death allow you to better target and pursue such creatures.

When making an attack against an aberration, undead, or fiend you can roll a d4. You add the number rolled to the final result of your attack roll.
If the creature you are attacking has damaged you within the round of action you are making the attack, roll 2d4 instead when adding to the attack roll.

Additionally, if such a creature is vanquished by you or an ally, you and any ally within 10ft of you gain temporary hitpoints equivalent to your PB as you siphon the energy from the departed.

Burden of the Undying

At 18th level, your grasp on the cords that weave your fate tighten, traumatic blows can be turned to lesser attacks, their energy stolen and used against another.

Fate of the Flawed - Twice per long rest, when a creature scores critical hit against you, you can choose to make it a normal hit, as well as negating any other features a critical hit might have. The next hit you score against that creature that is not a critical hit, becomes a critical hit.

Additionally, if you are at half or lower hp when gaining a vengeance token, gain an additional token.
