Teller of Tall Tales
3rd-level College of Legends feature
As a bonus action you speak the tales of a legend most renowned, you then expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration and roll 1d10 to determine the outcome OR you can spend a spell slot of 2nd level or higher and pick the tale. Tales of Legend
| NUMBER ROLLED | THE LEGENDS TALE |
|---|---|
| 1 | He who Flew to Close to the Sun. For the next minute the target gains a flying speed equal to their walking speed, however when in the air they are vulnerable to fire damage. |
| 2 | The King with the Golden Touch. The next creature or object hit by the target needs to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save the target begins to turn to gold and is restrained. The restrained target must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn. On a success, the effect ends on the target. On a failure, the target is petrified until freed by the greater restoration spell or other magic. |
| 3 | The Boy who Cried Wolf. The target must roll a deception check against a chosen creatures insight check. If the deception check is higher the target sees a wolf behind it and is under the phantasmal force using your spellcasting ability. |
| 4 | The Man vs The Giant. The first time the target hits a creature one or more sizes larger than them in the next 10 minutes is an auto critical. |
| 5 | A Sword most Holy. For 1 minute each of the targets melee attacks deal 1d4 extra radiant damage. |
| 6 | A Test of Worthiness. The target needs to make a Constitution save. On a success the next attack roll the target hits deals extra lightning damage equal to 2 rolls of your bardic inspiration die, however on a fail they have disadvantage on attack rolls until the end of their next turn. |
| 7 | The Trickster. The target polymorph's into either a Dire Wolf, Polar Bear or a Giant Constrictor Snake keeping their mental stats. They are in this form for a number of rounds equal to one roll of your Bardic Inspiration Die, alternatively they can drop it as a bonus action. |
| 8 | Arrow through Axes. The next ranged attack roll the target makes can go through up to 12 creatures if they are in a straight line. They only need to make one attack roll, if it would hit the AC of the creature behind then it pierces the first dealing 1 less damage for each additional creature. |
| 9 | The Holy Chalice. The target regains health equal to 2 rolls of your Bardic Inspiration Die. |
| 10 | An Eye for Wisdom. The target has a -3 to their AC until the start of their next turn this turn but they also have advantage on all attack rolls in that time. |
