Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

You have a deep darkness hiding away within you, Something so unspeakable and unbelievably horrid that the mere exposure of your 'other self' disturbs you deeply, But in times where your own abilities are not enough, You call upon this unspoken power and unleash it upon those who think of you as weak and feeble.

Academic Training

When you select this primal path at 3rd level, you gain proficiency of the arcana skill and with alchemist’s supplies. Additionally, you learn to speak, read, and write an additional language of your choice.

Hidden Monstrosity

Beginning at 3rd level, the experiments or effects you underwent; wilfully or not, have changed you forever. When you select this primal path, if your Strength score is higher than your Intelligence score, you can choose to swap your Strength and Intelligence scores permanently.
When you enter a rage, your body undergoes a transformation as your mind switches personalities. This can be minor change such as bulging muscles and a crazed demeanour or extreme with physical mutations. In addition to the normal effects of rage you gain the following:

  • You have disadvantage on all Intelligence ability checks and saving throws.
  • You do not add your proficiency bonus to any Charisma ability check except those using the intimidation skill.
  • You can use your Intelligence modifier on any roll that would normally use your Strength modifier. When doing so the roll is still considered to have used Strength.
  • You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

Sophisticated Savagery

At 6th level, you are a member of high or intellectual society. You have become adept at covering up the violent acts of your other half and talking your way out of things. You gain proficiency in the deception skill. In addition, you can end your rage as a reaction. When your rage ends, you gain advantage on your first ability check to hide, disguise yourself, or pass yourself off as someone other than your raging self within 1 minute.

Complex Mind

At 10th level, your mind is rather unique as it houses two separate versions of you. One who is always active and another who is suppressed but always present deep within. When a creature attempts to read your mind, detect your thoughts or emotions, or speaks to you telepathically, you can use your reaction to deal psychic damage to that creature equal to your Intelligence modifier + your rage damage bonus.

In addition, you have resistance to psychic damage when raging.

Personality Symbiosis

Beginning at 14th level, your two selves have learned a balance that allows them to work together in times of dire need. When you are dealt damage you can use your reaction to enter a rage, but doing so deals psychic damage to you equal to your proficiency bonus + your rage damage bonus.
Additionally, your transformation unsettles those nearby deeply. Whenever you enter a rage, creatures within 30 feet of you that can see you must make a Wisdom saving throw with a DC of 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier. On a failed save, a creature is frightened of you until your rage ends, they use their action to overcome their fear, or they end their turn more than 60 feet away from you in a place where they cannot see or hear you.
