Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

Dream Domain clerics are in touch with theirs, and others dreams, both the sleeping time and those associated with aspirations for the future. The gods of this domain can be associated with sleep, with nightmares, or with dreams themselves. They can be kind, or they can be cruel, depending on their relation with dreams and nightmares.

Dreamview

Starting at 1st level, you gain the ability to see into a persons dream. As an action, choose a target you can touch. They must succeed a Wisdom Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC, or you can see the vision of the dream or nightmare they had most recently. You see the dream through the eyes of the target, as they were themselves experiencing it. You cannot physically interact with anything in the dream, or change anything that happened.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom Modifier per long rest.

Channel Divinity: Night Terrors

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your channel divinity to cause someone to experience their worst nightmare.

As an action, choose a creature you can see within 30ft of you. They must make a Wisdom Saving Throw against your spell save DC. An image of their worst nightmare appears in their mind. You are unaware of what the image is. On a failed save, they become frightened of you for one minute and take 2d8 psychic damage, and on a successful save they are not frightened and take half as much damage. You also ignore resistance to psychic damage when using this channel divinity.

The damage increases to 3d8 at 11th level, and 4d8 at 17th level.
