Base Class: Monk
A monk of Way of the Falling Star emphasizes achieving superhuman speeds over all else. Through a unique style of acrobatic martial arts and well-placed bursts of ki, these monks risk their life and limb to make heavily-damaging all-or-nothing attacks.
A shooting star in the day or night could very well be a master of this technique preparing their next devastating attack.
Comet Strike/Death From Above
• Comet Strike: The damage you deal increases by 1 martial arts die for every 10 feet you move straight toward a target before your next attack, if it hits (this counts for vertical or horizontal movement). If a comet strike hits, you may force a creature to make a strength saving throw or be shoved a number of feet equal to 1/5th the distance you traveled for this strike (Rounded down to the closest 5 feet traveled). In addition, upon falling, if you deal damage with a melee attack before touching the ground, any fall damage you would've taken is negated.
• Death From Above: 1/round when an attack hits, You can spend a ki point to jump up to 5x your monk level into the air and make a follow-up attack.
Tail of the Comet
When you dash or use Death From Above, you may use a Ki point to become enwreathed in flaming energy. For the next minute, you may dash using a bonus action, and the energy empowers your attacks with extra fire or radiant damage. This energy leaves a 5ft tall 5ft wide trail behind you which covers the distance you traveled, and lasts until the beginning of your next turn. Creatures entering the line of energy or who start their turn in it must make a dexterity saving throw or take your martial arts die + (1/2 your monk level) of fire or radiant damage, or half as much on a success. You may attack once as a part of a dash when using this ability.
Comet Dash
Whenever you dash, you can replace your dash with a flying speed of the same distance, and may attack once as a part of that dash. While dashing in this way, you may spend a ki point to dash an additional time, up to 2 additional times per round.
Meteoroid Incarnate
You may use an action and spend 8 Ki points to gain a 300 foot flying speed for 8 Hours, immunity to fire and radiant damage, and resistance to nonmagical physical damage. In addition, damage from attacks utilizing Comet Strike apply to all creatures of your choice within 20 feet of the attack. You must concentrate for the duration to maintain this effect.
