Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

The power of undeath courses through your veins, granting you dark abilities and a hunger for the life force of others. As a vampire sorcerer, you draw upon the ancient and forbidden magic of the undead, allowing you to manipulate the shadows, drain the life force of your enemies, and assume a monstrous form. Your powers grant you unparalleled resilience and the ability to command the night itself.

Blood Drain

From the depths of your vampiric lineage, you possess the dark ability to drain the life force from your fallen enemies. As you strike them down, the unholy power within you surges forth, allowing you to siphon their essence and replenish your own vitality.

When you successfully reduce a creature to 0 hit points, your connection to the vampiric bloodline grants you the choice to harness their life force. As you stand over their lifeless form, you reach out with your innate magic, drawing upon the residual energy that lingers in their fading essence.

In a moment of consumption, you channel this stolen life force, reclaiming it for your own survival. The energy courses through your veins, knitting your wounds and revitalizing your weary body. Your sorcerous prowess melds seamlessly with the vampiric power, amplifying the effect and allowing you to heal in proportion to your own strength.

With each enemy defeated, you can tap into this power a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, representing your growing mastery over the dark arts. After you've expended all uses of Blood Drain, you must rest and recover before you can tap into this ability once more.

As you progress in power, your connection to this life-draining ability strengthens, and the potency of the stolen life force intensifies. The life energy you reclaim from fallen foes is equal to your sorcerer level plus your Charisma modifier, signifying your growing command over the vampiric powers coursing through your veins.

Beware, though, for the allure of this vampiric life force is not without its risks. The temptation to drain the life force of others for personal gain can be overwhelming, and the line between survival and surrendering to the darkness becomes thin. As you walk this treacherous path, it is essential to retain control over your hunger and use your powers responsibly.

With each use of Blood Drain, you become a conduit for the primordial forces of undeath, reshaping life and death to suit your desires. Harness this vampiric power wisely, for it is a gift laced with danger and consequence, offering both sustenance and the lingering taint of the darkness that courses within you.

Eyes of the Night

As a sorcerer hailing from the Vampire Bloodline, your connection to the nocturnal realm deepens, granting you a heightened perception that pierces through the darkest shadows. The gift bestowed upon you is the Eyes of the Night, a profound ability that allows you to see clearly where others stumble in the shroud of darkness.

With this supernatural vision, your eyes undergo a transformation, adapting to the absence of light and sharpening to perceive details that would otherwise remain concealed. As the darkness surrounds you, your pupils dilate, swallowing the meager light available and transforming it into a radiance that only you can perceive.

In the dimmest of light or the darkest of nights, your eyes become beacons, cutting through the veil of obscurity. Shadows that would confound mortal sight become mere suggestions to your keen perception. Details and nuances that would evade others are brought into focus with unparalleled clarity.

This newfound visual acuity blesses you with the extraordinary ability of darkvision, expanding your sight into a realm beyond the limits of normal mortals. With a range of 60 feet, you can navigate through gloomy dungeons, haunted forests, and moonlit landscapes with ease, unimpeded by the lack of illumination.

Furthermore, your Eyes of the Night grant you an advantage on Perception checks that rely on sight in dim light or darkness. Whether it's detecting hidden foes skulking in the shadows or noticing subtle clues that others miss, your perception becomes attuned to the secrets obscured by the absence of light.

This enhanced vision brings you closer to the essence of the night, heightening your connection to the realm of darkness. You begin to appreciate the beauty and intricacy of the shadows, discovering hidden details that were once lost to mortal eyes. The Eyes of the Night serve not only as a practical advantage but also as a symbol of your growing mastery over the vampiric powers within you.

Embrace this supernatural gift bestowed upon you by your vampiric bloodline. Let your eyes become the conduits through which the mysteries of the night reveal themselves. As you tread through the world, your vision, honed by the powers of darkness, will guide you and empower you to perceive what lies hidden in the obscurity, leaving others in awe of your otherworldly sight.

Vampiric Form

Vampiric Form At 14th level, your mastery over the vampiric powers allows you to transform into a more monstrous form, embodying the true essence of the vampire. As a bonus action, you can assume your Vampiric Form, which lasts for 1 minute. In this form, your physical attributes are enhanced, and you become a formidable predator. While in this form, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your speed increases by 10 feet, allowing you to move swiftly and silently through the darkness.
  • You gain resistance to necrotic damage, the very energy that fuels your existence.
  • Your fangs elongate, granting you a natural bite attack. This bite attack deals an additional 1d6 necrotic damage on top of its regular piercing damage. If your bite reduces a creature to 0 hit points, you regain hit points equal to half the damage dealt by the bite, savoring the life essence you've claimed.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Eternal Night

Eternal Night At 18th level, you become one with the darkness, fully embracing your vampiric nature. The power of undeath shields you from harm and empowers your necromantic magic. You gain the following benefits:

  • You are no longer vulnerable to radiant damage. The divine energy that typically harms the undead has little effect on your resilient form.
  • You have advantage on saving throws against spells and effects that would turn undead or force you to move against your will. Your vampiric willpower and fortitude allow you to resist such attempts with ease.
  • Once per long rest, you can tap into the essence of eternal night and cast the darkness spell without expending a spell slot. When you cast it this way, the spell doesn't require concentration, allowing you to focus on other potent spells while shrouding your enemies in impenetrable darkness.

With the power of the Vampire Bloodline flowing through you, you command the night, striking fear into the hearts of your enemies and bending the darkness to your will. Your insatiable hunger for life force and mastery over the undead arts set you apart as a true master of the night.
