Base Class: Fighter
Hunters around the world pledge themselves to finding creatures that attack settlements and find and kill them in return. Such beasts would be trolls, onis, dragonkin, liches, and beholders. These hunters pledge their own powers, be they spell, sword, or knowledge of the beings other hunters battle.
Bonus Proficiency
When you become a hunter, you are taught how to use weapons unusual to regular people, and how to create them. You gain proficiency with smith's tools, and the ability to use guns.
Trick Weapons
These weapons you wield are made to serve dual purposes, like a rapier turning into an undulating whip, or a serrated axe becoming a long-handled cleaver. Whatever the weapons do, you have learned how to make and use them efficiently. If you do not have proficiency with smith's tools, you gain proficiency with them, and you can spend an hour to modify an existing weapon into a trick weapon. There are three trick weapon types.
Saw Cleaver - this blade uses a d10 slashing damage when held with two hands, and gains an extra 5 feet when held with on hand, at the detriment of damage, using a d8 instead.
Rapier Whip - the sword becomes a whip, gaining the reach quality, out to 15 ft, with a d6 for damage.
Greathammer- the hammer can extend out to 15 feet, dealing d4 bludgeoning damage.
Stamina Points
You have a well of stamina that you can use to make different actions occur. At third level, you have 2 stamina points. At fifth level, you have 4. At seventh level, you have 6.
Parry - 1 point - when you are hit with an attack, roll a d6. If the roll meets the attack roll, the attack instead misses.
Riposte - 1 point - when an attack misses you, you can make a free attack against the attacker.
Dodge - 2 points - when an attack hits you, roll a dex save dc 15. If you pass the dc, you take half damage and move five feet to an unoccupied space
Spellcasting
A hunter must learn how to exploit any weakness of each foe, even if it is cold steel or arcane spellweave.
Frenzied Rally
After taking damage, roll a d4. After making your next attack, you regain that much hp back.
At 10th level, the d4 turns into a d6.
At 15th level, the d6 becomes 2d6
Monstrous Resistance
After a short rest, choose a damage type to be resistant to.
Bludgeoning
Piercing
Slashing
Until your next short rest, you are resistant to that damage type.
Old Hunter
"Respect the Elder in a profession where men die young."
At this level, the beast within you erupts, making you hit harder, and when not wearing armor, move faster.
