Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

The Cosmic Domain governs the night sky and the celestial bodies that traverse it. Clerics of this domain devote themselves to their Star-Crossed, vowing to protect them from harm. Drawing their power from the celestial bodies themselves, they shape the world in the name of balance.

Fighting Style: Protection

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain the Protection Fighting Style. When a creature you can see attacks a target other than you that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. You must be wielding a shield.

Star-Crossed

Starting at 1st level, you can imbue an ally with cosmic power, granting bonuses when near them. During a short or long rest, you can perform a ritual, choosing a humanoid ally to become Star-Crossed with.

Whenever you use your Protection Fighting Style to impose disadvantage on attacks that target your Star-Crossed, you can instead redirect the attack to you instead without advantage.

Whenever you cast a spell, if you can see your Star-Crossed and they are within 30 feet, you can cast spells as though you were in their space. Additionally, you have advantage on concentration checks for spells that you cast on your Star-Crossed.

You lose these benefits if your Star-Crossed is unconscious. You can only have one Star-Crossed at a time, and can choose another Star-Crossed by performing the ritual again if you already have one.

Channel Divinity: Cascading Starlight

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to draw power from the cosmos, healing you and your allies.

As part of your Channel Divinity, choose a healing spell you know to cast without spending a spell slot. Upon casting, an aura of starlight surrounds you and your Star-Crossed. Whenever you cast a spell that restores you or your Star-Crossed's hit points, allies 5 feet around you or your Star-Crossed are healed for the same amount. This aura lasts one minute. Allies in range of both auras are not healed twice.

Escape Velocity

Beginning at 6th level, you move quickly when near your Star-Crossed. As a bonus action, you can use the Dash action if you start or end your turn within 5 feet of your Star-Crossed. As an action, if you are within 40 feet of your Star-Crossed, you can swap places with them, teleporting to the other's position simultaneously. Once you use this feature two times, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again.

Divine Strike

At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your and your Star-Crossed's weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d6 radiant damage to the target. If your Star-Crossed hits a creature with an attack, they can deal the same damage. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d6. You can use this feature twice per turn.

Undying Star

Starting at 17th level, you can have up to one additional Star-Crossed. Whenever you or any of your Star-Crossed die, the other can cast Resurrection on the dead ally for free, not needing to use a spell slot or components. Upon completion of the spell, the caster is aged 2d10 years.
