Base Class: Bard
The College of Rhythm studies the realm in a unique way, able to destinguish the fabrics of one being to another based on the individual's own Rhythm. In doing so, Bard's that study the arts of the College of Rhythm find themselves capable of reading their opponents in a way unforseen, as well as tailoring devestating offensive magic uncommon for that of a bard.
This subclass is tailored on a risk/reward system that turns your ordinary bard into an offensive melee monster that can both benefit themselve's and their party. Favoring a unique positioning style in comparison to bards of other schools, a bard from the College of Rhythm is best on the front lines besides their frontline party members. Their primary stats are still Dex/Cha
Battle Rhythm
Starting at level 3, On any successful attack or AC check the bard may roll 1d8 + Charisma modifier+ Note’s. A roll of 8 or higher will grant a Note. (This is strictly to see if a note is attained from an action)
On any missed attack, missed damaging spell, or upon getting struck, all notes get destroyed.
Each note will grant the Bard +1 AC and +1 to any attack roll to hit.
Each note will grant 1d4+charisma. Per Note on attack roll for damage. This also applies for damaging spells.
Note’s effecting allies will instead add 1d4+their primary damage modifier on their attack roll.
A bard of Rhythm can spend 1 cast of bardic inspiration in exchange for a note.
A bard of Rhythm may only have up to 4 notes.
Power Chord
Starting at level 6, The bard may spend a note to create a melee ranged shockwave in a circle around the user as a free action.
The shockwave deals 1d6 + Charisma + each note (This does not include the note being expended)
Allies caught in the shockwave will instead get the benefit of having a note on their next turn.
If the bard chooses to spend all 4 notes for one big Power Chord, it will instead fire in a straight line, penetrating targets, up to 60 Feet.
The damage of a 4 note Power Chord will be 4d8+Charisma. + additional rolls based on a quarter of character level, rounded down.
Allies caught in a 4 note Power Chord will benefit from the effects of having 4 notes on their next turn.
A 4 note Power Chord can only be used once, requiring a long rest to recover.
True Rhythm
Starting at level 14, all bard spells have the same chance to grant a note as an attack successful AC check, or damaging spell.
