Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

This revised version is meant to try and fix existing flaws in the original subclass.

For some barbarians, rage is a means to an end—that end being violence. The Path of the Berserker is a path of untrammeled fury, slick with blood. As you enter the berserker’s rage, you thrill in the chaos of battle, heedless of your own health or well-being.

Exertion

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, the rage within you is no longer constrained by your physical limitations.

If your Rage would end because you haven’t taken damage or attacked a hostile creature, you may still continue raging by expending another use of your Rage feature or suffering one level of exhaustion instead. Doing so resets the duration of your Rage.

Furthermore, you regain all expended uses of of your Rage when you finish a short or long rest.

Frenzied Strike

Beginning at 3rd level, you can go into a frenzy when you attack to deliver an additional strike. When you use the Attack action, you can make one weapon attack as a bonus action.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (a minimum of once) and regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

If you have already expended all uses of this feature, you may still use a bonus action to perform a Frenzied Strike by expending one of your barbarian hit dice instead.

Mindless Rage

Beginning at 6th level, you can’t be charmed or frightened while raging. If you are charmed or frightened, the effect ends when you enter your rage.

Intimidating Presence

Beginning at 10th level, you gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency in one skill of your choice from the list of skills available to barbarians at 1st level.

When entering rage or as a separate bonus action on your turn, you may frighten one creature that you can see within 30 feet of you with your menacing presence, provided the creature can see or hear you. It must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or become frightened of you. The frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If the creature ends its turn out of line of sight or more than 60 feet away from you, they gain advantage on that saving throw.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Retaliation

Starting at 14th level, when you take damage from a creature, you can use your reaction to make a weapon attack against that creature, provided that they are within your attack range.
