Path of the Boomstick

An orcish man faces down a mob of screaming demons, clad only in his street clothes and wielding naught but his shotgun. He is outnumbered ten-to-one, making this an even fight. An ancient fury courses through his veins and seizes his brain as the new technology in his hands roars fire and searing lead. 

He howls with laughter as his foes fall before him, their blood soaking the ground beneath him. 

Firearm Proficiency

When you follow this Path at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with firearms. Also, firearms are now rage weapons for you. 

Butt Stroke

At 3rd level you may choose to use your firearm as a cudgel as well as a firearm. In place of firing the weapon you can instead use it as a melee weapon. This counts as a strength weapon that you have proficiency with, which deals 1d8+STR damage. This damage increases to 2d8 at 6th level, 2d10 at 10th level and 2d12 at 14th level. 

Any enemy hit in this fashion, while you are raging, must make a strength saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency + STR) or be knocked prone 

Combat Roll

At 6th Level you have learned that sometimes the best defense is a good offense. When you take the Dash or Disengage action on your turn you can make a single firearm attack against a creature within range at the end of that action.

Spray and Pray

At 10th level, you have learned the value of accuracy by volume and whenever you make a reckless attack against an enemy, may make an additional firearm attack as a part of that attack, accounting for all of your attacks. 

 

So, if you have 3 attacks, you can reckless attack and make up to 2 additional firearm attacks. 

Shock 'N Awe

At 14th Level you understand that the most effective battle tactic is overwhelming force. You may now use firearms with the Heavy and Two Hand tag in a single hand, as if they were light weapons. Additionally, you are no longer slowed by carrying these weapons.
