Artificer
Base Class: Artificer

A cuisinier has mastered their culinary art, preparing anything from small snacks to extravagant meals to strengthen their allies. Cuisiniers create magical and flavourful infusions, creating new combinations and cooking up an arcane storm.

Tool Proficiency

When you adopt this specialization at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with cook's utensils. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan's tools of your choice.

Cuisinier Spells

Starting at 3rd level, you always have certain spells prepared after you reach particular levels in this class, as shown in the Cuisinier Spells table. These spells count as artificer spells for you, but they don’t count against the number of artificer spells you prepare.

Cuisinier Spells
ARTIFICER LEVEL SPELLS

5th

9th

13th

17th

Lunch break

Starting at 3rd level, your culinary creations can restore the vitality of your team. Once per long rest, you can spend 10 minutes of downtime preparing and serving meals for your allies to restore expended resources. You can make a number of meals equal to your intelligence modifier and any meals not consumed during this period lose their restorative properties but can still be eaten for regular sustenance. Each meal has one of the following properties (your choice):

  • The consumer restores a number of spell slots adding up to your artificer level (for example at level 3 you could restore 3x1st level slots or 1x2nd level and 1x1st level slots)
  • The consumer can spend a number of hit die up to half your artificer level
  • The consumer can recover a number of usages of any class features up to your proficiency bonus
  • The consumer can regain 1 charge of any magic item they are attuned to

To prepare these meals you must have access to cook's utensils and some form of foodstuff (magical food such as created through goodberry or create food and water also applies here but loses any magical property it previously had). You must also spend 10 minutes as if ritual casting and your allies must spend at least 1 minute per meal they consume - you can also use this ability when taking a short rest.

Grab n Go

At 5th level, when you take a long rest or use your Lunch Break ability, you are able to create some snacks to pack with you for the journey. You make a number of snacks up to your proficiency bonus which can be thrown to an ally within 15ft. of you as a bonus action. When eaten using the consumer's bonus action these snacks will give half (rounded up) of the effect of a Lunch Break meal of your choice.

Dinner-Time Rush

At 9th level, you can prepare more meals at a better quality per day. You can now use your Lunch Break ability up to 3 per long rest. In addition, each creature that consumes a full meal as part of a Lunch Break gains temporary hitpoints equal to your artificer level lasting for one hour after the end of the lunch break period.

Taking the Heat, Staying in the Kitchen

By 15th level, you are all too familiar with kitchen nightmares and not only do you persevere but your creations are better because of it. You gain the following benefits:

  • You gain resistance to cold, fire and poison damage and are now immune to the poisoned condition.
  • Each of your meals and snacks now gives two benefits of your choice from the existing list (this does not affect temporary hitpoints given by your Dinner-Time Rush ability).
