Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Weaving webs of golden texture, Interlacing threads of silver;
Weaving with a golden shuttle, With a weaving-comb of silver;
Merrily flies the golden shuttle, From the maiden’s nimble fingers,
Briskly swings the lathe in weaving, Swiftly flies the comb of silver,
From the sky-born maiden’s fingers, Weaving webs of wondrous beauty.

The Fates, the Norns, those three sisters who weave the fates of each of us.  They reach out their hands to touch the world of mortals, to weave each of our lives into a grand tapestry.  Deftly creating a living work, they have chosen you to be their shuttle, to be the one they would use to weave the lives around you into this grand work.  They grant abilities of weaving, of magical, of physical, of the things of the spirit.  They whisper to you, guiding you to weave the fates of the people you meet.

They are three spirits who spin the Threads of Life for all living beings, whether they be gods, men, giants or dwarves.  Urd is an old crone, the oldest of the sisters, and she watches over the past. She is called Fate, her fingers weaving the actions that have already taken place.  Verdande is a young woman, the second eldest, and she watches over the present.  She is called Becoming, and her fingers guide those actions that are in the process of taking place.  Skuld is a child, the youngest of the sisters, and she watches the possible futures.  She is called Necessity, guiding towards the actions that drive the world.  To those who believe, the sisters are what was, what is and what could come to be.

Urd, the Weaver of Fate

At 1st level, you learn the Guidance, Mending and Message cantrips. They count as warlock cantrips for you, but they don’t count against your number of cantrips known.

You gain proficiency with weaver's tools.  As if casting a ritual spell, you gain the ability to create a shield out of any material that can be weaved, such as wool, wood strips, reeds or wide blades of grass.  This shield can be used to improve your armor class (+2) for 2 hours.  At the end of two hours, the fabricated shield will whither and fall apart.  You can create 2 such shields each long rest.

At 6th level, your fabricated shield will give +3 protection.  At 12th level, it will grant +4 protection.

The Mark of Urd

At 1st level, you gain the ability to place a Mark of Fate upon one individual. You gain the ability to cast Hunter's Mark upon a single target, one time per short rest.  While marked as such, you will be aware of the target's location as long as they are within a mile of you.

Verdande, the Becoming

Starting at 6th level, you gain the ability to change the fates, your own and those around you.

Immediately after a long rest, roll 3 d20s and remember the results.  Before you take another long rest, you may substitute one of these numbers with a d20 roll that you make, or that anyone within 30 feet of you makes.  Once a number is used, it is lost to the void.

Your weaving abilities have grown stronger.  Using what materials you can find, over the course of a short rest, you have the ability to weave simple magical items.   You can only create 3 separate items at a time.

The Mark of Verdande

Starting at 10th level, Verdande the Becoming grants you the ability to resist death.  When you have to make a death saving throw at the start of your turn, you instead are granted 1 hit die of health.  Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short rest.

Your weaving abilities grants you the ability to fashion a Belt of Hill Giant Strength that will last for 23 hours.  It requires 2 hours to create this item.

Your weaving abilities have progressed beyond simple weaving of earthly materials.  Now, your fingers contain the power of the weave and you are able to knit damaged flesh.  You possess a pool of healing within your hands equal to your charisma modifier times your level (minimum of 10hp).  Using a bonus action, you can touch a wounded ally and heal some of their wounds.   You cannot bestow more than 10 hit points upon an individual each short rest.

The Necessity of Skuld

At 14th level, you can now cast a version of Foresight upon an ally.  This version will only last 2 minutes, and you can only use this ability once per long rest.

Your weaving skills allow you to know create a Cape of the Mountebank.  It will require 4 total hours to create, though it doesn't have to be done all at once.   Your skills also give you the ability to create a Carpet of Flying, which will require 8 total hours to weave and enchant, and again does not have to be done all at once.  You can only create one of these every cycle of the moon.
